Q: 2. It have ballast

A: Unfortunately, this is the lamp head only. The ballast for it would be the ARRI 575/800 High Speed Ballast with ALF and DMX for M8 B&H # ARBM8.

Q: 3. How long is cable? looks 3 feet. Think I need 6ft.

A: The cable is probably 1 meter. Try any USB cable you may have, it probably will work. If not, write us and we will see if Arri recommends another. provideo@bhphoto.com.

Q: 4. What's the maximum surcace temperature of the lighthead?

A: According to Arri, the maximum surface temperature of the M40 head is 482 degrees F /250 degrees C.

Q: 5. Are these compatible with Arri M40?

A: Yes this cable is compatible with the Arri M40.

Q: 6. I see HMI's that are 1200/1800 watts. The ballast is dual wattage and the head is dual wattage. Can I just use a 1200 watt bulb instead of a 1800 watt bulb? With the 1200 watt bulb will the unit draw the less amperage. I want to be able to get the M18 and use a 1200 watt bulb and plug it into a 15A household circuit without blowing the breaker.

A: You can use a bulb such as the Sylvania / Osram HMI 1200W SEL XS Metal Halide Lamp B&H # SYHS1200HR , which has a G38 base to fit an Arri M18 head.

Q: 7. Does this lanc port work with the fx6 or fs7? It says c300 & c500 and "select cameras".

A: It also works with Sony PXW-FS7 / PXW-FX9.

Q: 8. Does this provide power to the cforce mini RF motor as well?

A: It does not. This cable enables camera run/stop, camera status display, and tally functions via an ARRI or cmotion cPRO electronic-control hand unit. It is not a power cable.

Q: 9. Is this the cable that will be needed to use the RIA-1/ RF motor with the Burano?

A: The ARRI Cable CAM (7p) to LANC/D-Tap (2') currently does not have a model for BURANO.

Q: 10. Can this plug directly into my Verizon cable box, or do I need to also purchase a receiver?

A: It is designed to be used with a separate repeater, like this: Kramer PT-5T and PT-5R IR Extender & Repeater B&H # KRPT5RT MFR # PT-5R/T.

[Black] It's longer than I normally use, but you've got to have a long cable in the kit for when you're forced to mount a UMC or LCUB at the back of the camera, and you've got to reach all the way to the front for the motors. With this cable you could reach from the back of a Sony Venice to the focus motor on an Angenieux EZ zoom mounted up front. Must have. 5

[22 lb] A 1' LBUS cable is just about the perfect length for me. I often mount my motors from the top of the camera, so a 1' cable reached from the LBUS port on the lens mount up to a top-mounted motor just perfectly. If using more than one motor, I try to place them on either side of the lens in order to balance the weight for my operator, and again the 1' cable is the perfect size to reach across the lens to the other motor. 5

[22 lb] It never hurts to have these cable crossover in hand. They proved handy during a small event I participated a couple of weeks ago. It's an extra step added towards the safety of your guests and your employees. I happen to like the blue color but I know other colleagues would prefer black. 5

[22 lb] This is a useful cable when for instance you've got an iris and a focus motor on an Angenieux EZ zoom, and your motors are mounted one on the bottom and one above the lens. Also useful to reach from your cforce motors back to an LCUB or UMC if your camera build isn't too long. Always good to have a variety of lengths available. 5
