The Novoflex Ball Free Set Camera Mounting Systemfrom Novoflex Ball Free Set Camera Mounting Systemis an ultra-compact, non-locking support which consists of three separate components; a ball mount, shell, and support leg.

The idea behind the Ball Free Set is to provide the user with a miniature monopod of sorts, capable of resting on top of any surface and settling in any position. The support leg features a rounded foot which can rest in nearly any position while supporting the non-locking "shell" - a basic seat for the ball mount with an integrated 90° notch. With the ball sitting within the shell, the user can position their camera in any way they see fit to frame their perfect shot. The non-locking design also allows users to re-position quickly without the need to fiddle with adjustment knobs or dials.

Although the Ball Free Set may not replace a full monopod or tripod, it can serve as a great portable alternative for photographers requiring greater flexibility when shooting action, wildlife, macro, or product photos. However, for those wishing to adapt the Ball Free Set to a larger support system, the Shell is capable of mounting atop a tripod or monopod in place of the standard support leg. This allows users to preserve all the features of the Ball Free Set without the restrictions of height or added stability.

A: The when using the TP-Link Tapo C420S2 with the TP Link Tapo app you will be able to turn on or off the loop recording feature. Loop recording would record over the oldest content on the Micro SD card.

A: Basic answer is that I could discard all my other tripods and keep this one. It's THAT good in any position even with a heavy camera and I use D4s and D3s bodies. Camera position is very fast and simple in every dimension.

[7 oz (200 g)] The head can handle 28-300 on Mark III 1Ds is fine. Shoot vertical I will turn the lens not from the head. For 18-200 on D2x shoot in vertical hold well no problem. After 4 years of use the head still alive(3 photo shoots/week). Own three Magic Balls on three tripods, I can't find any ball head can perform greater then this Magic Ball(Blue Ball). Take few weeks to get used to it then you will LOVE IT! 5

[1/4"-20] This is one solid, well-constructed piece of equipment and if you have a setup that needs to be held rock-steady in place, it will meet all your needs. The construction and finish are top-notch. The friction control ring, which allows you to adjust the amount of tension on the ball, works smoothly and flawlessly, as do the other adjustments. The three vertical notches for the ball neck are a nice addition, as well. I fI had to complain about something, it would be the lack of a quick-release plate option for the head. 5

[0.8 lb] Stereotypical but great German precision engineering and design. The ball part of the ball and socket can be kept attached to the bottom of the camera and quickly becomes a new and stable way to old your camera. The ball snaps in an out of the socket easily and with a satisfying click and is rock steady once tightened. Brilliant. 5

[0.8 lb] Novoflex makes great products, very well machined, beautiful, novel. The idea of this full size MagicBall is great and in use couldn't be better. Whatever I put on this ballhead it is rock solid. When pressing the shutter on a tripod mounted camera there is slight shake introduced, the solid nature of this head reduces shake to a minimum and subsides within a 1/2 second, plenty of time is left with a 2 second self-timer to get optimum results. 5
