[0.545 lb] I like this one so much more than my old Theta V

[0.545 lb] Since ive been using it, this camera has been solid in image quality and performance and reliability. I use this over my Qoocam 8k about every time.


Pros:
- Image quality (better than some higher resolution cameras)
- Reliability (I have yet to overheat this unlike my Qoocam 8k)
- App works on 32 and 64 bit phone OS's (unlike my Qoocam 8k...)


Cons:
- Phone app: Leaves a little to be desired compared to GoPro's app IMO(In My Opinion).
- Again with the phone app. Could have merged the editing software with the viewing / capture software. At the apps worked on my cheap-ish phone unlike Qoocam's apps.


Who should buy?
- If you plan on making money with it. (small-medium sized jobs)
- Beginners looking to get into an industry that uses this.
- Hobbiests with a giant disposable income xD. (The Theta SC2 is a great budget lineup for ppl who wanna shoot 360 as a hobby.)

[IPX7] Excellent view

[IPX7] Using this for developing a 3D on line social distancing tours of our showroom and the features of this unit are impressive. In the auto setting it will likely meet the requirements of most any user, we are using it for Matterport portal for the tour and the phone app and this camera really make the process simple.

[Polycarbonate] i dont shoot 360 videos but for photos and virtual tours this camera works without problem. already done 10 Matterport tour without single issue.

[0.545 lb] I love this case! I am super paranoid about my gear especially this $1000 camera with the huge lenses with no cover unless you buy the little plastic one. I am glad that this case can still go in my pocket so that I can stick that thing right back in its home without taking any unnecessary risks the second I'm done with it. The only thing I don't love is that i wish I had an option for the zipper or another cover to go over the bottom portion. I like the accessibility of the gap but I also would like to be able to close it all the way. Minor complaint really for something so indispensible. If you have or are thinking of owning a Theta Z1, GET A CASE.

[Polycarbonate] I bought this for building virtual tours for real estate and it does a great job! You probably could get away with a less expensive option but for something that is going to make me money, I don't mind having a tool that does its job well, and that I don't have to think that much about. I do wish the battery life was a little better, it only lasts about an hour or about 120 scans before it is dead, which is about enough for an average house. I can plug it into a power pack taped to the tripod if i need a bit more so I can make due if it is a large house.

[Polycarbonate] Disappears from 360 image. Compact, light, and easy to extend and retract. Great for 360 Theta

[IPX7] Clean, concise photos! Easy to use. Even in HDR mode, it works like a champ! I've used the Zeta V and this is hands down a better picture. Period.
