The Lightware MF 1015 Multi-Format Case is a ballistic nylon case with high density closed cell foam between high-impact plastic. The case is made to carry a 2 film or digital SLR camera bodies, 300mm f/2.8 lens, 4 additional lenses, flash and accessories or a medium format body, 3-4 lenses and a couple of backs, camcorder system or folding 4x5 view camera with 2 lenses and holders. The case has a front stash pocket and a padded carrying handle.

Q: 1. Can this case hold 2 Matthews Hollywood Baby Junior double riser stands ?

A: Yes, they will fit.

Q: 2. Does anyone know how to label these bags? I have many of them and I want them labelled for the right gear. Tags tend to rip off or break the strap. Tape tends to peel off.

A: The only way to label them is to use a tag. I would recommend using a tag with a steel wire so that it doesn't rip.

Q: 3. Once you have your dividers set for the first time are they easily re-configurable for when your kit changes?

A: Yes, very easy.

Q: 4. Does the bottom of this case have skids or feet? Is it the same exterior material on the bottom?

A: The Case exterior material is Nylon, unfortunately there are no Skids or feet on the Lightware C6037 Flip Lid and Cargo Case.

Q: 5. How close to 38" is the interior? I'd like to use for a light kit that has a 38.5" soft box frame (collapsed) that has to fit inside.

A: This case has interior dimensions of 38.0 inches, it is just a bit too small to handle a 38.5 inch frame. The next size up from Lightware is the C6050 Flip Lid Cargo Case (Black), B&H # LIC6050, which has an interior dimension of 50 inches. https://bhpho.to/2ebhlC8

Q: 6. Does this meet standard checked baggage size for flights?

A: Unfortunately Lightware C6042 42" Cargo Case, Padded (Black) is a few inches larger than the size allowed in most flights, but I would recommend checking with your airline because what is allowed varies a lot between airlines and also you may be able to pay extra to have them check it.

Q: 7. Will a Nikon 200 - 500mm zoom lens fit this ?

A: I don't know for sure, but I have a Nikon 300 2.8, which fits in without needing the top section. So it the lens is no more than 60-70mm additional length, it should work OK.

Q: 8. Why are the interior dimensions of the C6052 52" case smaller than the interior dimensions of the C6050 50" case? Shouldn't they be longer since it is 2" longer? Or is that a misprint in the specs.

A: The dimensions are correct. The Lightware C6052, 52 is the outside dimension. The C6050 50" case is longer.

Q: 9. Hi,I am looking for a cargo case that will handle the impact turtle base c-stand kit. Would this C6052 work? it seems a bit on the small side.Please advise asap.Thanks

A: Yes, that will fit. The C stand you are referring to is designed with a removable base. So with that it will fit in the case.

[7.27 lb] This is very sturdy. The stitching seems very strong. I've loaded this thing up with 5 c-stands, a slider, extension cords, gaff tape, clamps, reflectors, and more. The Lightware case will not fail or rip. However, picking it up when it's full is a feat of its own. I highly recommend this. Just be sure you need one this big before you buy. I bought it because I needed a bag I could fit c-stands into. It works great. However, it gets ridiculously heavy when you fill it up. Easily a 2-person move. You're probably going to need to put it on a cart of some sort. 5

[Universal] It was shown as an accessory for the Celestron CPC Deluxe 1100. I assumed it would be the perfect case for the heavy duty tripod that comes with it. The case itself is very well made, the price implies that, outstanding protection, heavy duty zippers and handle. The only but, the tripod with the accessory tray attached won't fit in the case. My fix to this is to remove the tray and using a large piece of foam store the tray in the case separate from the tripod. 5

[Handle] I was looking for a case for my dslr gear, to replace my old Pelican soft case. The Lightware MF1217 is a perfect fit and also fits nicely into the Pelican 1520 hardshell case. 5

[7.27 lb] Lightware quality and workmanship are not surpassed by anyone. I own a lot of their products and they are uniformly the highest quality in the industry. I bought this because it is so much lighter than Pelican hardcases. Not waterproof nor as crushproof as the Pelican. However you would have to try really hard to destroy the contents inside this lightweight case. 5

[Zipper] This is the real deal. Classic protection from a company I thought had gone by the wayside. This case replaced it’s exact twin from 1998. 21 years is not bad. Question is, will there still be a need for my medium format digital back set up??? Onward. I am very happy as this girl will certainly get me a cross the finish line !!! 5
