Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. It can connect to a camera with xlr inputs, correct? The description only lists recorders and mixers.

A: Yes the Rode Wireless GO to 3-Pin XLR Male Low-Profile Cable can connect to a camera with an XLR mic input.

Q: 2. Are these compatible with the FS7? I.e. Does the male end rotate to a position where it can access the camera's awkwardly placed XLRs?

A: While we have not tested this configuration specifically, there is a good chance that the Cable Techniques Low-Profile, 3-Pin XLR Female to 3-Pin XLR Male Adjustable-Angle Cable can be adjusted to fit into the build of the Sony FS7 camera's XLR audio inputs, given its ability to adjust the cable outlet from 30 to 150°.

Q: 3. Has anyone used this to power a Canon C300MkIII?

A: We cannot guarantee that the Sescom D-Tap to Right Angle 4-Pin Female XLR Power Cable (2') would work with the C300 MKIII, as the pinout of the 4-pin XLR output could be different than the layout of the C300 MKIII's 4-pin XLR input.

Q: 4. Will this cable work on the Red Raven DC 4 pin power port?

A: Unfortunately this cable is not compatible with that particular power port.

Q: 5. What is the weight of the cable, without packaging?

A: I'm sorry, but I don't have a listed weight for the Cable Techniques Coiled Jumper Cable Low-Profile (6 to 15"). This is normally packaged in a simple plastic bag, so the 0.155 lbs packed weight is very close to the weight of the cable alone.

Q: 6. will this cable work AND supply phantom power to a Shure VP88 stereo mic?

A: Yes, this Cable Techniques Y-cable will work with the Shure VP88. In order to power the mic, each of the 3-pin XLR connectors must be connected to a phantom power

Q: 7. On the low profile connector are they plastic end caps or metal?

A: The colored end cap on the Cable Techniques CT-LPX-SR-24R Straight XLR Female to Low-Profile Right-Angle XLR Male Interconnect Cable is made of plastic.

Q: 8. Will this cable power BM Ursa mini pro from Freefly Movi Pro ?

A: You should be able to power using the d-tap out of Movi to 4-pin XLR on the BM Ursa Mini Pro.

Q: 9. Since these cables are not Shielded, are there known issues with EMI and RFI Noise with them?

A: The cabling used to assemble the Cable Techniques Low-Profile, 3-Pin XLR Female to 3-Pin XLR Male Adjustable-Angle Cable typically implements either a lap or braided shield and does not have any known issues with EMI or RF noise.

Q: 10. how can this cable be compatible with both sony uwp-d and Sennheiser ew500? I own both so this would be aa good solution. Please explain.

A: The 1/8'' connector would screw into the receiver on your wireless system.

[0.15 lb] Necessary for routing audio in a sound bag—but wish they were about half the price. Still, incredibly versatile because they can be adjusted to any angle on both ends. Cleaned up my bag nicely.

[White] This is a great niche item. I paid for this instead of a cheaper solution because there is nothing really in the market that compares to this. Audio quality is amazing and build quality is top notch. The only con its just expensive but that's what you pay for a specialty piece.

[White] Bought 3 cables (red, white, blue) for my Sound Devices MixPre-3. Needed these since the bag was tight. Perfect so far!
