The Photogenic PL2500DRC 1000W Monolight (UV)offers speed, power and control, a wide choice of accessories and intuitive operation backed by impressive specs at a very reasonable price.

What good is a light if it keeps you in the dark? The PL2500DRC keeps you fully informed of your power levels via its large highly readable digital display. Power settings are adjustable in 1/10 or 1/2 stop increments across 6 stops. The bright 250W modeling light can be set to Proportional to let you previsualize your final shot when using multiple lights. Other settings include Full On, OFF and manual control of the modeling light output.

The PL2500DRC recycles to full power in a fast 3.0 seconds with short flash durations at minimum power that help you stop every gesture, an attribute which is extremely valuable when working with kinetic subjects like dancers or athletes. The color corrected flash tube prevents blue hues from creeping into the color balance on subjects like a bride in her wedding dress. The tube also insures a flattering skin tone rendition.

Convenience features include a test button, optical slave and integral handle.

The PL2500DRC comes with a 7.5" reflector and is compatible with a wide range of optional accessories including grids, snoots, parabolic reflectors, softboxes and umbrellas.

A: Its a 1,000ws light so its on the powerful side for newborns. You would most likely have it turned down a fair bit. Its doable but it might be overkill.

[Yes] I use this product for just about everything studio related, I also take it out on my youth league picture days and it provides just the right amount of fill for my team & individual images. Been using this light head for nearly 15 years now, other than replacing the flash tube I have not experienced any technical issues whatsoever with this light. 5

[0.8 to 3.0 Sec ] I really like these Stuidiomax Strobes they seen to do a great job and they are constant. The only complaint I have is the flash bulbs, they are a little fragile. However they are great as long as you keep a cover over them. IE... the reflector, the black cover, a softbox, well you get the idea. 5

[0.8 to 3.0 Sec ] Good flash head I use it for almost 4 years. The best things about it built like a tank. They don't use plastic like the other brand the good old heavy duty metal. Also they use simple circut board and if you succeed to break it. They cost almost nothings to repair. 5

[1x Monolight] I'm replacing lighting after my studio partner left-this is my second Photogenic-the first I've used hard for 8 years with no problems, unlike the other brand we used. The modelling lamp lasts forever, and fan cooling seems to do the job. Also, switching modifiers is a snap. Highly recommended. 5
