Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What size DC power connector does this come with? I’d like to get a USB to DC cable to use a battery with it.

A: The size of the power connection barrel is not listed, nor are we aware of a USB to DC power cable. However you could look in to using a Power Bank that has an AC outlet connection. The Xcellon 12,000mAh Power Bank with AC and USB Outlets would be a great choice to power this product on the go, B&H # XCPB1200AC. https://bhpho.to/2jX8gSA

Q: 2. I'm looking to specifically transcode SDI 23.98 1080p to HDMI 29.97 or 60i. Will it work?

A: Yes, you can change SDI 1080p 23.98 to HDMI 29.97 or 60i. You can find the specs from the BHphotovideo website or http://lumantek.com/index/product_view/59.

A: Yes, you may use the Aputure Sidus Link Bridge with the Aputure Light Storm LS 1s LED Light and the Sidus Link App.

Q: 4. Will this scale 1080p HDMI in to 720p component out? Will it extract HDMI audio to DD 5.1 bitstream through the coax out? Thanks.

A: Yes it can scale 1080p HDMI in to 720p/60 out, video goes out both the Composite and Component video ports at the same time, in fact if you just press the 720p/60 button on the bottom of the remote then everything will be done. Audio is also extracted and will go out both the S/PDIF audio port and L & R RCA audio jacks, it samples audio at 48 KHz.

Q: 5. Does the transmitter send a standard fiber based DVI-D signal that is compatible with other receivers or monitors that have fiber inputs?

A: Link Bridge also offers the 4802 Two-Fiber Optical DVI Receiver to pair with the Transmitter. Once you have both the transmitter and receiver you will be able to send an DVI signal over Fiber.

Q: 6. The first photo displays two units, but then other photos only display one. Is this one unit, or two? Is one unit both the bluetooth receiver and the RF transmitter.

A: This is for 1 transceiver. As previously stated, the first photo shows the front and back of the unit.

Q: 7. Could you possibly use this to control lights from other manufacturers like the Nanlite 60c?

[1.65 Gb/s] Sometimes I have an issue running Level B signal to it and it populates when I change to Level A... ;)

[L/R analog] I got this test long SDI runs for signal which so far does a great job at. Dip switches in the back to change settings. Being a Converter and scaler that I can use in a pinch is a bonus.

[HDMI] For once a product that works and does exactly what it says it does. Plus more honestly. Great extra options in the menu.

[L/R analog] This is a fantastic item that revives Aputure’s older line of lights. You need the Sinus Link app and some patience. Other than that, everything works great! Took me less than five minutes to set everything up.

[3.5 mm stereo] I own 2 of these devices. I've used them very often, both as signal testers and as replacements for converters on shows. Great buy.

[HDMI] We have a set of 120D-II's and the original Amaran 672's in one of our studios, and this unit is a must for anyone still trying to set those with the little remotes.

This essentially lets you use the Sidus Link app on your phone to send remote commands to your old Aputure lights. You can still set up different channels just like you would for the remote units, so a single Link Bridge can control four different banks of lights.

[HDMI] I own a couple of these and they are great devices overall. Along with the conversion I also use them as kind of a kick cable tester. The signal strength indicator often clues me in on whether or not my cable has some kind of problem.

Someone else here said the converter can not do 1080p60 but I am using it with that resolution all the time out of a Roland VR-50HDMKII video switcher. Never had a problem with any output resolution.

One big note on this converter. It can ONLY do 3G-SDI Level A. It does not work with Level B. Otherwise these units have been no problem at all in the field.

Someone else came up with the idea to put a little plexiglass cover on the top to protect the built in monitor. I thought that was a great idea and have done that for my units.
