[14 or 29] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This light will add amazing up lighting for any event, professionally as a DJ or personal use. Large variety of settings, many colors. Very vibrant. Easy transport. The size is small but you'd never know it by how much this light can do.

[1,200 Hz] I bought two of these. They have a lot of nice features and are easily set up. I got one hung and it worked perfectly, although for our stage it was a pretty wide wash. We may put barn doors on it. We have about a 24’ throw from that position.

For the other light, we accidentally put it through an abuse test. It got dropped from a 12’ height onto a concrete floor. The lens broke into several pieces and a two inch chunk of the metal case broke off. Amazingly enough, we put in the second lens and it worked fine. No LED or circuitry failure. Very tough little light. We are going to use it until it chooses to fail.

[1,200 Hz] Most users will be driving their Chauvet DJ lights from DMX. However, this is a nice device when you have DMX go down or have something unexpected occur. If you have the RF function enabled in the light's setup the light still works on DMX but can get shut down or changed via the remote. Useful if some light stops talking for some reason or needs to be forced. And the remote will send a fairly direct IR beam so it's easy to make sure it only sends the signal to one fixture if others are close by. It's also useful when just unpacking and setting up Prior to rigging and connecting to dmx as a quick test of the lights core functions at the outset. For the cost and it's size it is easy to toss into a camera bag or side pouch.

[1,200 Hz] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] CHAUVET DJ SlimPar 56 LED DMX Slim Flat Can Light is a quality light. Very easy to use the directions are easy to follow. It has red blue and green led lights, with multiple settings, and built in programs for super easy use. The light is compact and lightweight, but very sturdy. The brightness is perfect for any occasion, I have added this light to my Karaoke set up and it is working really well, adds a bit if flare to the performance.

[3-pin XLR] This light was more than I imagined it would be. It looks great, and the light is bright for a smaller location (house, small gym).

If you are planning on using it without DMX, keep in mind that you basically have two options: you can set the light on one non-moving setting, or you can set it to demo mode where it goes crazy with different colors, movement, and such. The demo mode is fun, but if you maybe want everything but the strobe light you don't have that option to turn off strobe. So if you are looking for some fun to spice up a DJ setup, go for it. However, it seems like if you have a DMX setup you can really take advantage of all the settings.
