Stream to the web without a computer by encoding with the Cerevo LiveShell X. Leveraging the efficient H.265 encoding format, high-quality HD videos can be streamed using less bandwidth compared to the H.264 standard. And with support for 1080p resolution at 60 fps, broadcast quality video is within reach. Simply connect your HDMI camera or video-enabled device, set up the LiveShell X, and you're ready to stream.

Ethernet and USB ports allow for streaming directly over a wired connection, or using wireless networks with a separately available Wi-Fi USB dongle. Another option is to record H.264 or H.265 video straight to a microSD card. Recording can be done simultaneous to streaming, so you can have a hard copy ready for distribution at the end of the event. Despite its prowess, the LiveShell X is compact, battery-powered, and can be mounted directly on a camera using the multiple integrated mounting points.

LiveShell X supports streaming at up to 1080p60, enabling you to stream broadcast-quality video. In addition, with support for the H.265 video codec, you can broadcast the same quality video as H.264 at a reduced bit rate or using the same bit rate as H.264 with increased video quality. LiveShell X can also use H.264 encoding to ensure compatibility with existing streaming services.

Many streaming platforms, including Ustream, YouTube Live, Twitch, Akamai, and Wowza, are supported immediately out of the box. You can also do live streaming through your own server, if your server supports RTMP broadcasting. LiveShell X has been tested to work on the following services:

  • Ustream
  • Niconico Live
  • YouTube Live
  • TwitCasting
  • Facebook
  • FRESH! by AbemaTV
  • SHOWROOM
  • J-Stream
  • Wowza
  • Akamai
  • Twitch

The multi-streaming function enables you to stream to up to three services simultaneously (depending on current resolution settings). You can also broadcast multiple streams to one streaming service at different bit rates.

LiveShell X can record directly to a microSD card to make a backup copy of your broadcast or to record an event for later broadcasting. If you use LiveShell X as a standalone recorder (without streaming), 1080p60 Full-HD video can be recorded. LiveShell X will record the final stream output, creating an exact copy of your broadcast including any on-screen logos or lower third graphics added via Dashboard.

Use the built-in rechargeable battery to operate LiveShell X for up to six hours. Automatic power switching ensures that if the AC adapter is disconnected while live streaming, LiveShell X will switch to battery power automatically without interrupting the broadcast.

While constructed from metal, LiveShell X is compact and lightweight. It also features M4 and 1/4"-20 mounting options, so LiveShell X can be attached to cameras using a shoe mount, giving you a portable all-in-one filming, recording, and broadcasting solution.

Using free VLC software for your computer or tablet, you can view your live streaming or recorded video in near-real time. The front panel OLED display shows streaming status and audio levels, while the three top LED buttons change color to alert you of any issues with streaming output.

Using LiveShell X's web-based control panel, Dashboard, beginners and professionals alike can control video quality, audio level, bit rate, and cue timing. Since Dashboard is browser-based, users can remotely control LiveShell X from basically any smartphone, tablet, or PC with an internet connection.

Using Dashboard you can add subtitles, logos, and graphics to your live streaming via the easy-to-use interface. LiveShell X supports transparent PNG files for polished on-screen graphics.

With local mode, LiveShell X can broadcast to a closed local network without the need to connect to an external server. Broadcast video or audio securely over your corporate network, or use RTSP mode and LiveShell X can function as your exclusive local streaming server without having to build or purchase your own media server.

[2.575 lb] When I decided to wall-mount a 55 inch TV, I wanted as clean an installation as possible: no tethered boxes on a table below. That meant attaching a Fire Stick 4K, a Harmony Hub and an old TiVO Mini to the rear of the TV. The TiVO and Fire Stick were easy, but the Harmony Hub is made to sit on a horizontal surface, period.
As I envisioned fabricating something out of metal strapping, I spotted the Mount-IT! MI-355 online. Perfect!
And it was. I cross-strapped the Harmony Hub to it using nylon cable ties and secured it to the TV mount, neat and solid. Price is right, too.

[AAC-LC] I was super suspicious of this product. I hoped it was as advertised but doubted it would be for $150.

Let me say, I am blown away! I have two iPads that I can now give my clients and they can watch the shoot. It's such a game changer, no move heavy and expensive monitors and wireless systems that loose sync and don't work half the time. Have never had a dropout or frozen image. Punches through inside house walls without a problem.

Going to purchase a second one and try out pulling focus with them liked together. Only downside is the lag for the mobile streaming isn't quite fast enough for focus pulling.

You won't regret buying this. I love mine!

[AAC-LC] This is my first Arca Monoball Fix product. I am a long time Arca user, having owned two Cubes, a variety of P heads, and Core Levelers. I also have a decided preference for lever clamps versus screw knob versions. In every case, I paid PCW to replace the Arca lever release clamp with an RRS of appropriate size. I never liked the 17-step Arca lever release (exaggeration I know), especially when wearing gloves. And from my point of view, the Acratech quick release lever is even better than the RRS. That thing is a work of art. But since acquiring my Field Metric C view camera, I needed to get a clamp suitable for the monorail. Enter the Monorail Fix Quickset Device. What an elegant, simple, streamlined device. All it does is work. Everything necessary to secure your device, with nothing you don't need. Safe, reliable, and more than robust enough for my field cameras and my Phase. If there is a downside, it's that I now want to standardize on it for all my gear.

[2.575 lb] Light weight, well made and works well. It is pricey.

[2.575 lb] Without the Arca-Swiss Monoball Fix Quickset Device I could not have attached an Arca-Swiss Monoball X-Table System to either of my tripods. The removable plates located on the camera attachment portions of my tripods (a Manfrotto head on a Bogen tripod or similar attachment plate of a MeFOTO tripod system) screw into the inferior surface of the Quickset Device thus allowing its attachment to the tripod. The lower rail of the Arca-Swiss Monoball X-Table System then slides into the superior surface of the Quickset Device resulting in attachment of the X-Table system to the tripod. It is important to be aware that the inferior rail of the X-Table system has no accommodation for a screw attachment to a tripod and furthermore is too narrow and has an incomparable configuration for directly attaching to either of my tripod heads. Thereafter one must use an Arca-Swiss Cameraplate 75 for MonoballFix in order to attach a camera to the upper portion of the X-Table system by use of what appears to be a second Arca-Swiss Monoball Fix Quickset Device which is included with the Arca-Swiss Monoball X-Table System and attached to its superior surface.

[AAC-LC] There's so many different wireless transmitters out there. This one just works - even through cement walls. Simple setup for 1080 projects. No need to spend hundreds when these just work.

[255 kbps (max)] I deal with Live Streaming daily. I have the VidiU, Vidiu Pro, and even a Cube. None of these offer the ability to remote into your encoder to start and/or stop the stream. The LiveShell's user interface is complicated and leaves much to be desired, but once you set it up, it works wonderfully. Also, the LiveShell X is much much BIGGER than I expected. But being able to access this machine from home while it's running a 24/7 stream at work makes me so happy Also, being able to stream to three different platforms simultaneously is quite useful.
