Providing a 400Ws output in a compact design, the Broncolor Siros 400 S Expert 2-Light Kitfrom Broncolor Siros 400 S Expert 2-Light Kitis a reliable studio flash unit with Wi-Fi connectivity and a built-in RFS 2.1 receiver for wireless control and triggering. It has a 9-stop power range which is adjustable in 1/10 or full stop increments for great control over light output. The Siros S is also quite fast with a flash duration from 1/8000 - 1/1000second and a recycle time of 0.02 - 1.4 seconds depending on power settings. Additionally, the monolight has a halogen modeling light.

Built into the Siros S is a specialized Speed Mode that speeds up the charging time and flash duration to provide a fast sequence of exposures, up to 50 per second at the fastest setting. Also, the unit has a USB connection for software updates and is fan cooled for temperature control. An integrated reflector and mount are included for adding modifiers to the light.

When the Siros is connected to a Wi-Fi network, each light can be identified by a different-color LED and can be easily controlled using the bronControl app for smartphones and tablets

With the integrated Broncolor RFS 2.1 receiver, users can use the RFS 2.1 transmitter for remote control from the camera

Cut-off technology uses a microprocessor to calculate the flash duration to an output, enabling sequences with up to 50 flashes per second

Enhanced Color Temperature Control technology adapts flash voltage and duration in order to achieve a constant color temperature over the entire variation range

Individual power distribution means the unit has controllers for each lamp in order to have greater control over the flash power range

Speed mode reduces flash duration and charging time while reducing the maximum power in order to achieve a series of rapid exposures without overheating

Single rotary control for flash power output setting, a slight turn provides 1/10 stops while a "Twist" function allows for whole stops

A: Unfortunately, this monolight system is only for use with a battery and cannot be plugged into AC power. A: The Broncolor Umbrella Reflector for Siros and Siros L Monolights B&H # BRURS is included with this monolight.

Q: 6. How do I meter the power output in HS mode? Do I need a special light meter or a regular flash meter will work?

A: Some third-party meters (e.g. Sekonic) offer the ability to meter in HS mode however we have not tested these units.

Q: 7. Are these heads battery powered and HSS capable?

A: The Siros 400S is powered by a wall outlet and is not HS compatible. BUT the battery powered version - Siros 400L (B&H # BRS400LWFR2B MFR # B-31.710.07) is completely battery powered and HS compatible for Canon, Nikon, and Sony.

A: This strobes utilizes the Broncolor Pulso mount, which will fit the current line up of Broncolor modifiers.

Q: 9. Does it support high sync?

A: No, the Broncolor Siros L 400Ws Battery-Powered Monolight does not support high speed sync.

Q: 10. Is the modeling lamp proportional to the flash power? I mean is it possible to adjust it and make it proportional?

A: The Siros L LED modeling lamp is a fixed power output and cannot be dimmed to be proportional with its flash power setting.

[2.4 GHz] These lights are amazing! They are heavy, but the power, speed and color accuracy is pure perfection. The ability for High speed sync is important to me, and the app gives great control and extra modes that you just don't get with cheaper lights. They are expensive, but well worth it. The craftsmanship is great, and the padded bag is beautiful and well designed with quality in mind. The included umbrella and soft box are small and portable, but I do prefer larger modifiers most times. If you can afford it and do a lot of on location shoots. . These babies can turn day into night, and compete with the sun behind your subject. I highly recommend them and B&H! My first set came damaged, but B&H quickly replaced it. 5

[99] Perfect monolight strobe, compact, constant colors at all times, 9 f-stops, very intuitive to use, from 1/1000 (800 J) to 1/19000 s (3 J). I have two 800s and one 400s + an external DC/AC battery for outdoor shooting. Considering my needs (studio + outdoor shooting), it is a far much better versatile combinaison and reasonably priced choice than to having one Move 1200 with only 2 heads (as far you do not need 1200 J on one head or need something very compact-packed). And there is no compromission with the global performance. 5

[Yes] new experience with Broncolor , I love the quality of the light , wifi system is very handy in the studio, i recommend this light to everyone who wants to achieve quality , i was trying another lights ,not even close to broncolor , my personal preference. 5

[1/8000 Sec] I did a lot of research on my first monolight/strobe and it came down to Broncolor and Profoto. It was a hard choice, partially because I shoot Olympus and Bron does not make a transceiver for Olympus cameras and Profoto does. I also have a background in different types of design and engineering work and I love me a solid/beautifully made product. In the end I chose to go with the Siros 800 L and its absolutely amazing. Due to not having a compatible transceiver I successfully have it working perfectly with PocketWizard (FlexTT5 and PlusIII), even with HS at 1/8000! The Broncolor iOS app is a big help too! Looking back if I were to do anything differently, I wish I wouldve opted for the two light kit since Im now thinking of getting a 2nd strobe and the kit is a great deal with the extras it includes. If you are considering the Siros for studio or location work, do it! Lastly, I thought about the Siros 400 L as well but the few hundred dollars and slightly smaller body wasnt worth it for me. Ill take the extra power. 5
