A: Hi Chris! Yes a iPhone 8 Plus will work with the Shift gimbal with a low profile case. Keep in mind that if you have a larger otterbox style case - it will not work with out removing some of the rubber adhesive grips on the phone mount. If you plan on running an aftermarket lens such as one from Moment this will put the total payload weight of your iPhone 8 Plus above the designed payload range. If that is something your looking into doing with aftermarket lenses and accessories then I would look towards using the SP-PRO Gen2 with a counter weight - or - going with the larger EVO Rage-S model with a 1/4-20 tripod mount for smartphones.
