[DC 24 V] I am using a these (along with Dante Via) to convert a relatively inexpensive set of active speakers into Dante enabled speakers. Only con so far is that the AVIO adapter is larger than I expected, but definitely not a deal breaker. Pros include near infinite (not really, some limit) speaker runs using Ethernet cable (also must have POE); no ground loop him (digital signal); and the AVIO device can serve as a Dante clock device. 5

[3.75 lbs] Ordered new microphones but still wanted to use my older mixer. Shipped quickly, and installed even quicker. Downloaded the software and they were working within a few seconds. Going to order two more as I only ordered 2 for testing. 5

[1.7 in] Added to my pair of DANTE AVIO 1 out devices to round out the set... now I can use my spare ethernet wires to add additional input to network. Bonus is that it can be the master clock. 5

[122 °F] The AVIO works just like you would imagine. Plug into the network, assign what you want in Dante Controller, and presto. Really terrific tool to have whether you need to add a last minute speaker or just working on a quick project and only need two outputs. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. 5

[3.75 lbs] Most important - Easy and quick setup. This is being used on a Midas M32. The AVIO uses 2 channels such as 7 & 8 that will need to be linked. It does require Dante virtual soundcard for pc or mac and you will need Dante controller (free) for mapping the channels needed. This requires POE. 5

[DC 24 V] I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to configure this with my New M1 MacBook Air. Audiante said they would have support towards the end of 2021, not sure why the long delay as complicated apps like Adobe already have started their transition. This adaptor is great for transmitting audio with zero perceptible latency over the network. You'll need a POE+ switch or power source, and your laptop must also be connected via ethernet since Dante doesn't work over WiFi. 5
