[Silver] This is a solid stand; not light. Movement with wheels that maintain linear movement is slick. Double riser is plenty high for most practical on-site drop-down ceiling heights. Wasn't quite ready to begin a C-Stand journey; this was a perfect fit into the world of film tools for photography uses.

[3] These are fabulous stands and a SERIOUS upgrade over flimsy aluminum. The weight limit is easily exceeded with a Profoto D2, 3x4 softbox, and the necessary counterweight to balance it on a boom. Don't skimp on sandbags!

[3] Got this to handle my large Rotalux softbox in my small studio. I had been using a very robust fixed light stand with a boom arm. The fixed stand setup was unstable so I did some homework and changed to this Matthews Baby Jr. What a huge difference! From this experience I'd say that Matthews deserves their excellent reputation. The stand is large, strong, stable and solidly put together. All the parts fit and function as they should. The wheels move easily and track true. This is a very high quality piece of gear! Perhaps a professional operating in a professional studio might be able to find fault but for me, in my small set up, this the ultimate wheeled stand! I'll soon be getting another.

[Steel] I've know of Matthews gear for a few years. This is the first time I purchased a piece of their gear. This is the best light stand I now own. The build quality is of the highest standard. The wheels roll smoothly. My older light stands seem flimsy by comparison, if I bump one of them the flash head has some vibration and bobbles back and forth. Not so with the Matthews stand, if I bump it, it remains solid. The price may seem high for a light stand, but the old adage is true, you get what you pay for, and this is worth every penny. I'll be buying more Matthews gear in the future. This stand will last a very long time.

[5/8" Stud] Predictably super quality from Matthews, this stand is a very welcome addition to my kit. No more lugging a c-stand weighted down with lights and sandbags to different spots to fine-tune my lighting. Took this out on a remote shoot and loved, loved, loved the easy mobility it provided. I went with the baby junior based on comments that it is a bit lighter and better suited for remote as well as studio applications. Any concern I may have had that this isn't a substantial stand was unwarranted. It's rock solid. Super happy with this stand.

[Built-In] Matthews has just amazing quality. Using this roll-around stand on laminate flooring, it rolls very smooth and leaves no marks. Very solid - like all my other Matthews stands.

[Built-In] The best I’ve used so far. Simplified my at home studio. Instead of multiple stands I purchased this with the side arm. Now running 2 lights 1 stand and it rolls. It’s expensive but worth every cent.
