This Acratech Quick Release Plate for Canon DSLRsfrom Acratech Quick Release Plate for Canon DSLRsis compatible with select Canon DSLRs with and without battery grips. Refer to the list below for your camera's compatibility. This plate will also work with most Arca-Swiss type release clamps. It's machined in the USA from 6061 T-6 aluminum and features an anti-twist lip that prevents rotation. It has a standard 1/4"-20 camera mounting thread and an anodized black satin finish.

A: No, the Acratech 4" telephoto quick release plate does not have safety stops/screws/pins.

A: This plate will fit any ARCA-Swiss type tripod head clamp. Do a B&H search for arca compatible head . You'll get 346 results. For best flexibility, I'd recommend the knob release variety rather then a flip-lock. Acratech makes high quality plates.

Q: 6. Does this work with BG-R10 battery grip?

A: No, the Acratech Quick Release Plate for Canon EOS R5 is meant to fit the camera body itself, not the Canon BG-R10 Battery Grip. For a plate for the bottom of the grip one can use the Kirk PZ-185 Camera Plate for Canon EOS R5 and R6 with BG-R10 Grip, BH #KIPZ185 (https://bhpho.to/3RcWTUI).

Q: 7. I just purchased the Tamron SP 150-600 from you and now find that the lens foot is not compatible with my tripod ball head. I am interested in this or similar (6 ) as I will possibly be purchasing a gimbal head later which would require the longer plate. My question though is this plate shows two screws but my lens foot only has one. Does this mean that I must order a shorter plate to get one with one screw or is the second screw removable and not needed? Thanks for your help.Paul Sorrells

A: The screws do come out of the quick release plate. Six inches is a bit too long for that lens and this one would be a better choice for an Arca-Swiss style quick release plate for that lens,Wimberley P30 Quick Release PlateB&H # WIQRPP30 Mfr # P-30http://bhpho.to/VwdNk1

A: The Acratech Quick Release Plate for Telephoto Lenses (5") would be too long for use with the Canon 100-400mm lenses. As an alternative, if you own the original push/pull Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens, the Acratech Quick Release Plate for Telephoto Lenses (2.5"), B&H # ACQRLP2.5, would be the correct lens plate for your usage needs. If you own the new twist-zoom Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens, then the Acratech 3.5" Lens Plate for Canon, B&H # ACLPC3.5, would be the correct lens plate for your usage needs.

[1/4"-20] I bought this item to use with my Nikon 200-500 mm lens. I needed something to prevent rotation when mounted on my tripod options. It is doing what I needed and is worth getting. 5

[0.32 oz (9 g)] Fits my R perfectly. There is absolutely no camera rotation when I place the camera on portrait mode with a ball tripod head. Does not impede at all the use of the flip out screen. Very lightweight. This lives permanently attached to my camera. Use it with my 10 years old quick release camera strap connector and tripod heads (also Acratech). 5

[0.32 oz (9 g)] It does what it's suppose to do. I mean it's a piece of metal that suppose to stick to my quick release when tightened and not drop my camera to the floor. It's not rocket science. 5

[1/4"-20] Everything looks great. Specs say this is for an X-T1 but took a chance. But the camera stop on the back side that fits below the LCD screen is not located in the correct position for an X-T10. Probably could be filed down to fit. 5
