The 174-216 MHz Shure UA844+V/LC VHF Antenna System 174-216 MHzfrom Shure UA844+V/LC VHF Antenna System 174-216 MHzallows for the expansion of wireless microphone systems by splitting one pair of antennas to multiple receivers. It can be used with Shure VHF QLX-D and ULX-D receivers in sound reinforcement applications such as for houses of worships, live stage, theater, rehearsals, and more.

The system also amplifies RF signals to compensate for insertion loss that results from splitting signal power to multiple outputs. A single UA844+V system may support up to five wireless receivers and a maximum of five UA844+V systems can be used in a two-tiered configuration. Additionally, featuring front-mounting antenna hardware and rack-mounting hardware, the UA844+V provides 4 DC power feeds for receivers (15V, 2.5 A max) and has DC outputs for antenna bias (12V, 300mA max).

A: Yes, the UA844+SWB covers the full range between 470 to 960 MHz so it can be used with the H19 (542 to 572 MHz) and G5 (494 to 518 MHz) wireless systems and any others that fall within the frequency range that the antenna covers.

Q: 4. Is it compatable with shure axient?

A: No, the Shure UA860SWB Passive Omnidirectional Antenna is not compatible for use with the Shure Axient series wireless receivers.

Q: 5. WillG1 transmitters work with G50 receivers?

A: Only G50 transmitters will work with G50 receivers.

Q: 6. Have anyone tried to used them for Lectrosonics, ZAXCOM or WISYCOM receivers? How well does it work?

A: The Shure UA860SWB Passive Omnidirectional Antenna is designed specifically for use with the Shure SLX, ULX, UC, UHF, and UHF-R Wireless Receivers and covers the frequency range of 470 to 1100 MHz. We have not tested the antenna with wireless receivers from other manufacturers like Lectrosonics, Zaxcom, or Wisycom to be able to confirm compatibility.

Q: 8. Description says this can handle up to five wireless receivers, but the picture of the back of the unit looks like there are only enough BNC connections for four receivers. Can someone clarify?

A: Michael F. That is correct bro. You can use up to 5 different wireless units. There are two outputs in the back A & B. Each output has 2 sets of out puts for FOUR(4) units, but if you notice next to each output bank youll find 1 cascade on each side equality to two total on the back. If you use those, now you have the capacity to use 5 units. Notice that if you do use the cascade you wont be able to connect multiple units if that was your intention. If youre only using one unit, you will be able to use 5 units using the cascade, if your intention is to use multiple units then 4 max is what you can use per unit. I hope this helps brotha. I use 2 of them for our church and I use 4 wireless units per unit as I have them linked together through cascade.

Q: 9. I have 3 Shure SLXD24D Dual-Channel receivers. This is technically 6 channels, am I exceeding the limit of this unit?

A: The Shure UA844+SWB UHF Antenna Distribution System with Active Directional Antennas Kit (3 to 5 Systems) is able to be used with up to 5x receiver units, not channels.

Q: 10. How many watts does the Shure ULXD4Q pull down?

A: As per Shure, 7.6 watts.

[174 to 216 MHz] Shure does make a quality product. No questions there. Works great and decrease clutter from multiple mics. I must comment on B&H for their supplying needs. Outstanding. Looked like this product was going to take a while to deliver, however, I know they did their best to expedite the process. Received the product in a couple of days. I was shocked at the turn around from order to delivery! 5

[9.4 lb] Obviously, you cant go wrong with Shure. But, this omni antenna is great. Super versatile and no assembly required. If you need an antenna cant recommend this one enough. 5

[50 Ohms] Added this to a mix of other wireless mics, this channel covers flutes/penny whistles. Linked with a ULDX1 & Beta 54, reproduces the very subtle tonal qualities of flute type instruments. I received immediate positive feedback from our congregation. Setup was effortless. Battery life has been very good. Integration with the sound board was very simple with default gains. 5

[174 to 216 MHz] We had several systems with a mix of Shure microphones, and the rooms were huge- which affected our coverage. After we installed two of these and mounted them outside of the AV rack up high- we have had zero issues. We also used these in a church AV system that has the AV rack in the balcony. Complete satisfaction with this product. It has a very wide range and frequency to work with. Highly recommend if you have signal drop outs or using multiple receiver frequencies. 5

[174 to 216 MHz] All I can say is get these. If you're having issues, dropouts, noise etc. a pair of these will remedy most or all problems when used correctly. We use multiple wireless microphones for conferences and presentations in all kinds of different venues. Prior to use of these we used the 1/2 wave antennas mounted on front of of the receiver rack. It was always a struggle trying to find an acceptable location for the receiver rack that was both out of the way and optimum for best antenna/receiver operation. With the UA860SWB we place them on a dual mic bar on a tall mic stand allowing us to get the UA860SWB's above the audience. With the supplied 25' cable it's much easier to find a footprint for the receiver rack and place the UA860SWB's in direct line of site of the mic's. 5
