This ARRI UDM-1 Ultrasonic Distance Measure Basic Setprovides focus measuring data for any ARRI or other brand of camera. The UDM Sensor measures the distance between the sensor/film plane and the subject or object with ultrasonic pulses. The UDM Sensor is used with the UDM Display Unit (available separately). It may also be paired with an ARRI ALEXA Plus/Studio camera and a UMC-4 controller.

A DMX cable is not recommended for use in this scenario. NOTE: Use only shielded 5-pin XLR cables with parallel signal lines and full pin assignment. [14.7 oz (418 g)] These are great - my operators love when I can use just one or two cforce mini motors on a LBUS-enabled camera. I love it too - keeps my build tight and lightweight. They're a good balance of torque and speed. Highly recommend! 5

[14.7 oz (418 g)] The cforce mini motors are the reason I went for an ARRI focus system. They're the best thing out there for gimbal work, or any operator who loves their camera builds to be as small and light as possible. I recommend adding a larger gear for when you need to speed up the motor. 5

[14.7 oz (418 g)] This set fits the FX9 perfectly. It's quick and easy to attach to the camera and has zero play in it. The bottom plate allows you to use a VCT-style tripod plate to quick transfer from hand-held to tripod mounted operation. The shoulder pad is comfortable. It also does not add very much height to the camera, thus keeping the center of gravity lower so as not to be top-heavy. The top plate has plenty of mounting locations on the top and all 4 sides to attach your accessories. The included top rail mounting bracket allows you to use rails to mount accessories on the top of your camera. This is a very high quality, wonderfully engineered product. The name Arri stands for extreme quality in the world of high-end production, and this setup for the Sony FX9 will not disappoint. I can and do highly recommend this product. 5
