The 72" Photoflex Black Panel Umbrella Cover 72"from Photoflex Black Panel Umbrella Cover 72"is a soft light accessory that allows you create a light modifier similar to a softbox from a 72" white translucent shoot-through Photoflex or similar umbrella. With your flash head mounted through the opening, the black fabric slips easily over the open side of the umbrella, containing the bounced spill light so that all the light travels forward. You then point the convex side of the umbrella at your subject as you normally do in shoot-through mode.

If you are looking for a 60-inch umbrella with a 7mm umbrella shaft compatible for use with Elinchrom light fixtures, I would instead recommend the Photek GoodLighter Umbrella with 7mm and 8mm Shafts (White, 60"), B&H # PHU1060FGS.

Q: 5. Will this work with speedlites, or only larger strobes? worried about light spill if the opening is too large.

A: This works well with strobes , with Speedlight it is a large umbrella and you will not have enough light

A: No, it is not. Best is to use an umbrella that has a 7mm shaft not 8mm.The only one that is white with a removable black has also a front cover option. [72" (182.8 cm)] This modifier is huge but awesome! I only had one problem, the diffuser does not fit correctly centered. Other than that... this is awesome! 5

[72" (182.8 cm)] Bought to use on a Westcott 2016 45 umbrella. Fits this umbrella and gives that great softbox effect while adding to the utility of the umbrella. Works perfectly with both studio strobes and on-camera flashes (Nikon, Yongnuo, Bolt). 5

[0.7 lb] I use this product as a large fill light doing portraits. I like the light it produces. What is great about it is the build quality and I like the price. I would prefer a stronger wall case for location shooting. Bags ae nice but don't offer that much protection. 5

[72" (182.8 cm)] Great defusion and distribution. I use it with a Westcott Triple Threat Speedlite Bracket and Nikon SB-910 speedlights. An awesome combination with great results. If it is windy leave it in the vehicle. It is sturdy but wind is a problem. It is also great for those times you need some shade while you are out on location. 5

[0.7 lb] I needed to soften the light from two umbrellas to match the output from my Wescott Apollo. Fit nicely on my 41-inch umbrellas and no problems. 5

[0.7 lb] This is a nicely made and sturdy umbrella. I am especially pleased that it is a true 72 diameter, not the misleading measurement around the perimeter of the fabric. I use these with Norman 2000 lamp heads and wide angle reflectors. These light the entire surface of the umbrella for a very soft and even light on the subject. I would buy this again without reservation. 5
