The SWIT 23.8" Full HD Waveform LCD Monitor Gold-Mountfrom SWIT 23.8" Full HD Waveform LCD Monitor Gold-Mountadopts an IPS (In-Plane Switching) LCD panel with full HD resolution. It also features an LED backlight, 1000:1 contrast for accurate color reproduction, and a viewing angle of 178°. The supported video analysis assistant patterns include: Waveform (Y/Pb/Pr/R/G/B), Vectorscope and Histogram (R/G/B/Y). For convenience, the patterns can be switched on/off individually.

The monitor can display SDI 16-channel and HDMI 8-channel embedded audio meters with marks and audio abnormal alert info. Users can also select any 2 channels audio to output to the internal speakers or via the 3.5 mm audio output jack. The audio meter pattern position can be selected from Up/Down/Left/Right, and you can select to display 2 channels, 8 channels or 16 channels. It supports UMD and Text-Tally display of TSL 3.1/4.0 protocol, with 1-126 TSL address selection; up to 8 letters can be displayed.

The monitor provides a standard USB port for firmware upgrade. You can download the latest firmware file to a USB stick, and directly insert it into the monitor to upgrade; no computer needed. For power, it provides a 4-pin XLR jack for 11-17 VDC, and a Gold-Mount battery plate enables outdoor using. There are three colors for the Tally light: Red, Green and Yellow.

Q: 2. I can't seem to make this monitor mirror what is on the display on the back of my A7rii. For instance, when I record video, it only shows the camera's view of the video being recorded. What I want is for it to show the video along with all of the settings, audio levels, etc that are on the back of the camera. How do I do this?

A: Your question is the opposite of most customers in that you want the display of information. Most do not. In the menu, there is a setting that cycles what is displayed externally.

A: Yes it is.

A: The pro pen 2 would be included, and would work with any current Wacom line.

A: To use a V-Mount battery with the JVC 9" Full HD Broadcast LED LCD Monitor, a V-Mount to Gold Mount adapter such as the SHAPE V-Mount to Gold Mount Regulated Battery Converter (BH #SHVGCON) would be needed.

Q: 7. Can this monitor split the screen with the two SDI input signals side by side?

A: No, this monitor is not split screen. You will have to change the input for what source you want to view.

Q: 8. What's the screen brightness?

A: Sony has never listed the brightness in nits for this monitor. It was first made when nobody did. My opinion is the brightness is average and the sun hood is a necessity.

Q: 9. Will CLM-FHD5 work with the bmpcc? The previous model clm-v55 gave a input signal error at 29.97 and 30 fps.

A: This unit is not tested with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, so it may encounter the same issues that the CLM-V55 did. We suggest monitors from Ikan and Marshall with the BMPCC, these will work very well. You just need to also purchase a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable to connect the camera to either monitor.

Q: 10. Might be a silly question, but can you monitor both S-Log2 and S-Log3? is there any difference in monitoring either?

[16:9] Setting up is as easy as plug-and-play. It's nice that they do not have any boot logo or splash screen - they simply power up and show a Brightsign LS unit's 1080p signal quickly. Colors and brightness are sufficiently vibrant for general digital signage applications. These units are built to last. They have been inadvertently placed into 24/7 operation at our venue since around 2019, since staff never learned how or why to power them off. The only reason why I had to replace this one was because a client punctured the LCD! Even so, the video signal did not fully disappear, and the damaged unit kept chugging along. Replacement took about 30 seconds. 5

[1920 x 1080] I bought this to run on my Aputure 300D ii to see if it worked and if it did I would buy another. Turns out it works incredibly well. I use this battery single sided on my aputure 300 for nighttime exteriors and it works great, unfortunately I do not need a second one at this time because just one is powerful enough to give me so far and hour of light at full power (50 percent) on the Aputure. even at 50 percent there is an incredible am0unt of light generated 5

[1920 x 1080] So far, out of the box, this seems like a decent production monitor for the price. I was able to use it for three nights as a multiview monitor HDMI da'd out of my switcher, on a gig where I had an LG computer monitor side-by-side with it as a multiview, and the differences were stark. Critical focus was reasonably sharp, and brightness of the monitor felt great. It appears to have a good amount of functionality in it as well, trying to be a poor man's Flanders/SmallHD. It certainly won't be the best monitor when it comes to color, but if you rely on scopes, then you can adjust your eyes/brain relative to what you know you should be seeing. I have yet to use it for the quad multiview capability, but I will test that out soonly. That was in fact the reason why I decided to get this monitor, so, presumably it works well. One multi-day gig in and I think this is a monitor I can be pleased with for a few years. 5

[32 W] I am a guy who swears on Swit batteries so I decided to take a swing at their 24" monitor for its quad view purpose. This monitor is sharp and the colors are beautiful! It's ability to change from 1 camera, to 2 camera, to 4 camera in press of a button was easy and it's feels solid as a rock. The output speakers are quiet but that is pretty standard in production monitors. My only complaints is that it's difficult to find proper VESA Mounts or screen protectors for it. The VESA mount holes are M6 which are slightly larger than the Matthews and Rigidesign brackets. Other than that, it's a solid monitor and 100% worth the asking price. 5
