The Tamron 5MP C-Mount 12mm Compact Lensfrom Tamron 5MP C-Mount 12mm Compact Lensis designed for use in machine vision applications. This addition to Tamron's selection of industrial lenses is suitable for cameras with 1/1.2" and 2/3" sensors. Features of the Compact 5MP C-Mount 12mm Lens include a trim 29mm diameter barrel, close-focus imaging, locking/manual focus and iris functions, and consistent contrast and resolution quality from the center to the edge of the lens. Compared to earlier models, rotational torque has been increased, lock-screw positions now total four instead of three, and the lock-screws have been recessed for easier installation in tight quarters.

A: This lens will be around 4 inches long.

A: The IRIS is usually closed. When power is supplied via the DC cable connected to the camera, the IRIS will open. If you do not want an auto IRIS, I would recommend looking at a manual IRIS lens.

A: Unfortunately we do not have pictures to show you, However the lens does supply a superb image.

A: As this lens uses fly-by-wire focusing, it will spin indefinitely and has no hard stops.

Q: 5. Would this lens use the same lens station as the Samyang AF 75mm F/1.8?

A: You should use the Rokinon lens station with the Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 AF Lens for FUJIFILM X; it is possible that the Samyang lens station may work, but it's not designed specifically for Rokinon lenses.

A: This lens records both infrared and normal wavelengths of light.Most lenses are not corrected for infrared light.Which means if you set the focus on your lens for normal shooting it will be blurred or out of focus for shooting infrared.If you likewise set the focus for infrared and try and shoot the next day in daylight it will be out of focus again.This because infrared light focuses at different points in the lens than all the other wavelengths of light.What THIS lens does is it keeps you from having to refocus everytime you switch from shooting in normal light to nighttime infrared aided light.This is done using a IR coating to make sure the the wavelengths of light focus on the same point in the lens barrel no matter if its IR or not.Hope that helps anserw your question.23

Q: 10. will this work on a7iii and is there any issues being an APS-C format? I believe the a7iii has a crop of 1.01. What does that mean when using this lens?

A: The Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 AF Compact Ultra Wide-Angle Lens for Sony E-Mount will work on the Sony Alpha a7 III, but it is not recommended. This is an APS-C lens and so will only be using the center part of your camera sensor. This sensor would not cover the Full Frame sensor of that camera. This lens would be used in APS-C crop mode with a 1.5 crop.

[Manual Focus] What can I say? This lens almost ruined my marriage. At first I thought he was cheating on me with another woman, turns out he was having an intimate relationship with her, the lens. He spoke so highly of her, how wonderful she is, she completes his life, and even claims to have made his photography hobby "complete." He spends all his time with her, takes her on getaways to the Blue Ridge mountains any chance he gets. I burn with jealousy when I see the pictures he's posted with her on Instagram. After some intense marriage counseling, I realized I can't have him without her, so we now have an open relationship, my husband, his lens, and I. So if you are planning to purchase this lens, know that it is great, it does exactly what it says it will, and is built with great quality, but it may bring turmoil to your love life. 5

[0.19 lb] Amazing image quality. Practically no barrel or pincushion distortion. Perfect for my robot. Even with a 1 image sensor, there's only a small area in the corners that's not covered by the image circle, even though the lens is rated for 2/3 sensors. I just wish there was an option for frictionless focus and iris setting, so I wouldn't need to take the lens apart and modify it for my motorized focus+iris rig. 5

[Manual] Nice wide angle lens. Fast! Works great in low light. I use it on a Panasonic GH2 with a c-mount adapter. For the money, it's amazing. I shoot video, not stills with this lens. For stills, one might want to invest in a fully automatic lens. This lens is about as old school as it gets using the way I do- manual everything. Note also that is has a zoom function, but must be refocused every time you zoom in or out. Still, until I save enough for a Leica, this will work. Kind of looks silly to the client who knows gear. But if looks are not an issue, this is great! Can do amazing macro too! 5

[Manual Focus] I bought this lens to use with a In-line process camera for my laser processing work station. This fixed focal length long focal length lens worked perfectly and I was able to zoom the work area with a clear image. I recommend this product srongly for imaging where the working distance is a constraint. 5

[f/2] Bought this lens for a new Axis M 1125 camera. My goal was to focus tight on a single object, 40 feet away, so depth of field was not an issue. The clarity of the image is excellent for a lens in this price range. If I had the option, a higher end camera with remote zoom and auto focus would be sweet...but for this budget priced combo, I'm delighted. Shout out to the BHP rep who guided me to put this order together. I explained my requirements & he took hs time to make sure all items of the total system were compatible. I'll order more CCTV cams here in future. 5
