A: Yes, the Comprehensive Pro AV/IT HDBaseT 4K60 18G HDMI Extender Kit can be powered via it's dedicated TX/RX power port by using the locking power adapter, which comes included with the HDMI extender kit.

Q: 4. Is there any latency between this camera and other cameras connected to the computer via USB?

A: This will offer very little latency.

Q: 5. Does the power supply have standard European or Brazilian adapters?

A: The Comprehensive Pro AV/IT HDBaseT 4K60 18G HDMI Extender Kit does not include any international adapters but the included power adapter is compatible with 100-240V power and so can be used with a converter plug to power the unit.

A: We currently have Cat5e attached to it and it works fine. I purchased the one that stated Cat6 incase we upgrade in the future or move it to a different location.

Q: 8. Will this work with other HDBaseT devices such as my Panasonic RZ770LB?

A: Yes, the ATEN VE801R HDMI HDBaseT-Lite Transmitter would be able to output to projectors that offer an HBaseT input, like the Panasonic RZ770 projector.

Q: 9. We need to run new cable for this installation (remote camera). Will this work with Cat7 cable?

A: It is rated for Cat6/6a only. They will not support Cat 7 specifications

[HDBaseT] I've used two of these extenders successfully. They work very well -- as long as the Cat6 run is uninterrupted. If there are any couplers or wall plates between the transmitter and the receiver, the picture quality is significantly degraded. Learned that the hard way. Wound up using brush plates instead of the keystone connectors I'd planned to use to run the signal from one room to another. Once I did that, the extender worked as advertised. :-) 5

[HDBaseT] Got a couple of these now, and they perform well with both CAT-5 and CAT-6 cabling. They do run a bit hot, but seem fine with that. And the bonus of being able to use a camera's IR remote through these extenders enhances their usefulness. Only limit: access must be available for a wall wart line power source for operation (Although, it wouldn't be too difficult to use properly configured, rechargeable batteries to provide operation. Not sure that the warranty coverage would hold is such an instance, though.) BUT, as usual stellar service from B&H for cost, speedy delivery and outstanding customer service. B&H sets the benchmark for all online order services, bar none!!! 5

[External] These are great! I have used KanexPro extenders for all my installs for the past 4 years and have had only 1 issue and KanexPro made it right quickly and at no cost because of their great 3 year warranty. I highly recommend them! 5

[230 ft] Simple, reliable, and solid. I havent used the audio piece but everything else has been perfect. It would help if this could use one cable between transmitter and receiver but it has worked great as it is. 5

[230 ft] Bought this to go between BMPCC 6K and an ATEM MINI Extreme ISO. It worked perfectly! You are still able to have camera control through this system from the ATEM. I can start and stop recording, adjust focus, and color settings without any issues. I did not notice any additional lag other than from typical HDMI lag. In other words, the KanexPro did not add any lag to the feed that was noticeable. 5
