Safeguard your lens with the LensCoat Cover for Canon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Realtree Max5from LensCoat. This water-resistant neoprene cover is custom-built to fit tightly around your lens, and helps protect it against bumps and scratches that may occur while you are out shooting. The neoprene material also acts as thermal barrier between your hands and the lens, making operation more comfortable in extreme heat or cold.

For simplified operation, the case has cutouts that allow you to use the manual focus ring and access the auto-focus, focus limiter, and stabilizer switches. The Realtree Max5 design features a wide variety of plant-like patterns, including tall grains such as wheat and oats. This makes it well-suited for hiding from birds and other types of wildlife in many different environments. This product is made in the USA.

Note: this product cannot cover the fixed portion of the lens barrel due to the way in which the barrel extends and retracts. It leaves approximately 3" of the lens barrel exposed when the lens is fully extended.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this fit over a Sony Rx10M4 with the plastic lens hood in place?

A: Yes, it will just fit.

Q: 2. Which size is needed for a 300mm Canon lens?

A: It will depend on the size of the lens, not the focal length - I bought this cover for a 72mm (Look up what size filters your lens uses, often Canon lenses will show the number on the inner rim at the end of the lens

Q: 3. What size Op/Tech hood hat fits Tokina 24-70 f/2.8 lens,plus which is better,,Op/Tech or Lenscoat?

A: The medium hood hat will fit the Tokina 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Both Op/Tech and LensCoat are excellent brands.

Q: 4. Does it work with the Tokina SD 16-28mm 2.8?

A: I purchased this hood for the same lens. It makes a snug fit, and the end is fairly solid, so it should not contact the glass. However, it does remove the snap-on lens cover I was using as a replacement for the original Tokina lens cover.

Q: 5. What size fits for Sony 300mm f2.8 lens?

Q: 7. Does anyone use these lens coats on Canon lens'? I have a 24-70 Id like one for but want it to fit snuggly or a 70-200

A: Yes, trick of the trade if you apply to your lens and warm with blow dryer. They shrink just a lil for that perfect fit.

Q: 8. will the lenscoat help with preventing lenses fogging up on cold nights? if not, what can you suggest

A: No, LensCoats do not seal the lens and prevent it from fogging up. Weather-sealed lenses will be the most protected from fog and moisture getting into lenses. But regardless of whether a lens has weather-sealing, taking proper precautions like slowly acclimating your equipment to the environment would do more to prevent sudden fogging than anything else. Take a while to move your bag from somewhere warm or wet, to somewhere cool or dry, so that the sudden shock does not develop fog or moisture inside the lens from the sudden change in temperature or humidity.

[0.135 lb] What a great product. Once you put the product on your lens, it has a snug fit. I have mine on several lenses for a few years and never have to think about it except to be grateful for all the scratches I don't have. Product performs exactly as advertised.

[0.135 lb] After I bought my new lens, I really needed this, seeing how hard photographing wildlife can be on your equipment. This cover went on easily, and does a great job protecting my lens. Once I figured out how to get the holes lined up exactly, I have no problems switching to manual focus, or turning the Image Stabilizer on or off.

[Neoprene rubber] I'm of the opinion that anyone who cares about keeping these expensive pro lenses in pristene condtion and without compromise, should have a lencoat. I like the product and find it easy to switch between white or differnt camo prints. I've now purchased several lenscoats in different patterns for wildlife work. It seems so simply but yet so smart.

[Neoprene rubber] As a pro I am very rough on my gear. This cover is peace of mind knowing I am protecting it from scratches and nicks. Love how it fits. The camo pattern also conseals the white lens when I am in the field with wildlife.
