The beige Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics SM, SMa, SMb, SMDa, SMDb, SMQ, SMQa, SMQV, SMV, UM400a, or UM450 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this price include all of the accessories in the photo?

A: Accessories pictured are included.

Q: 2. anyone use this tram with the 3.5 gopro external connector?

A: thank you for your question. You are unable to use this tram with the go pro adapter as the go pro cannot provide proper voltage to power the microphone

Q: 3. How this lav compares to the Senal OLM2? thanks!

A: This mic is a little bit smaller than the ME2, and the performance is usually better. This Senal mic will usually be a better choice if you need to hide the microphone. I do think the ME2 mic is usually more durable though, and may be a better choice if that is a concern for your use. I would also recommend considering the Senal OLM-2 as an option, which is nearly identical to the ME-2: https://bhpho.to/300xXJB

Q: 4. Is it compatible with the Sennheiser FreePort lavalier kit?

A: Theoretically, yes. The Sennheiser Freeport wireless system is no longer available and as such cannot be tested with current products. Nonetheless, the wiring on the Freeport is the same as the EW wireless systems- and the UTM-86-35H is designed to work specifically with the Evolution Series wireless system. There should be no issue.

Q: 5. Are the mic cords long enough for a side-by-side interview (with a Digital Audio Recorder hidden behind personalities)? Or do you recommend use with a wireless transmitter? Thanks!

A: Probably. Mine is about eight feet long with an XLR connection that I plug into the camera. It's easy to hide. I just add a length of XLR cable when I need to be farther back with the camera. If you're going to a separate audio recorder it should be no problem.

Q: 6. Does it interfere with the DJI Wireless Mic like the Rode Lavalier Go?

A: The Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic would not be recommended for use with the DJI Mic because of its locking connector, which has been known to block connection with the DJI Mic's transmitter units.

Q: 7. Due to the large size of the included mic I am looking for a compatible mic with a smaller head. My Senal UTM-86 LAV MIC w/3.5mm-SENN does work, but the audio levels are very low. Could the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with its Operating Voltage or Plug-In Power of 1.5 to 5 V be used with the F2? Will the F2 provide enough power to the Rode to give the necessary audio levels? Or which mic could be recommended?

A: Yes, like the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters, the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is a suitable option for use with the Zoom F2 Ultracompact Portable Field Recorder.

Q: 8. Will this work with any xlr mic input that provides 48v phantom power? eg Motu M2 ?

A: No, this microphone will not connect to a common XLR input, and it does not operate on 48v Phantom. We do offer a similar microphone that does come with a 48v phantom adapter (it is not going to pass full 48v to the mic, rather it reduces to the nominal voltage). It actually has better frequency response than the UTm-86. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/898932-REG/senal_cl6_3_5n_p_cl6_omni_lavalier_mic.html

Q: 9. Does the Tram TR50 mic really fit loosely in the clips, as some have reported? (I just want to make sure whether it's common to the design or if some just received a dud.)

A: Mine fits snuggly but it's still pretty new.

Q: 10. Will this Connector work with the Audio Technica ATW-T310?

A: Although the Tram TR50GSO- has a 4 pin hirose connector, it has been wired to work with Sony Wireless transmitters, and is not guaranteed to work with the Audio-Technica ATW-T310. These mics are not available for online purchase. Please call our sales team at 800.606.6969 to place a special order for the correct variant.

[Beige] I have a Sony wireless lav and have gone through 2 Sony lavs due to the poor design of the cable going into the connector. Talked to a B&H audio consultant on the phone and she suggested the B3. Definitely seems to be a lot stronger at the connector.

[0.45 lb] Absolutely amazing. Super small. Easy to set up and use. Crisp clean audio without any adjustments in post. And very good at reducing noise and clothing rustle. I'm in love with these. GOOD AUDIO MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

[0.45 lb] Very good in general - great for the cost. The B3 pairs well with the Senheisser G3 wireless packs. It sounds better than 'starter' mics like the ME2. Sanken sounds a bit better but costs a lot more. I think the B3 is in the sweet spot for moderate budget TV and film. The capsule tips included help shape the sound.

[0.45 lb] I like the flexibility of this product in that it enables varied positioning. All that's needed is tape specifically designed for attachment to skin and in my case the upper cheek of my face. It has clear sound and is comfortable to wear.

[Beige] Needed a quality mic to record some interviews for a historical video series. Paired with my Sennheisser system, this little mic worked great. This is my 3rd Countryman mic and all seem solid. I'm happy with it.
