Just write it on a small piece of paper and stick it on the hood. Hoods are a bit bothersome to use,esp. on a long lens, but its important to always use them to prevent extra light from sneaking in and ruining the exposure. I know you didnt ask this, but the best lens by far Ive ever used is Nikon 24-70mm. Stunningly sharp. It is expensive. If you want professional results, use professional gear.
