Q: 1. what size fits the canon 400mm 2.8 iii?

A: The XXXX-large is the one that will fit. You can click the link below to view; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/508943-REG/LensCoat_LCH4XLBK_XXXX_Large_Hoodie_Lens_Hood.html

Q: 2. What size for Sony 20 - 70mm F4 lens?

A: The Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens diameter is 2.87". So, the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (X-Small, Black), BH #LELCHXSBK, is the correct size.

Q: 3. What size LensCoat Lens Hoodie would you recommend for the SAMYANG 8/3.5HD FISHEYE LENS W/HOOD? The diameter of the hood is 2.75 inches so this is right on the size boundary.

A: I have both an extra small and a small Len Coat Hoodie. I can put them both over a lens with 3 diameter lens shades however the small size is a bit easier to fit, particularly if the lens shade is deeper.Lens Coat's does not appear to indicate the hood size of their hoodie's. In my opinion it would also be better if they provided pull taps on the hoodie to help pull these hoodies over the end of the lens. I use them on lens that I like to keep the lens hood/shade attached to the lens.

Q: 4. Does this fit the 400 2.8 ii non is?Can't find the difference in specs between the i and ii

A: I contacted LensCoat with your inquiry. Unfortunately, they do not have a LensCoat designed for the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L II USM (non-IS) lens released in 1996. Due to the small design differences between the lenses, none of the current LensCoat options would be compatible for use with the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L II USM lens you own. LensCoat states that if you contact them directly and if they can find a copy of the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L II USM lens, they may be able to make a custom LensCoat for $195.00. I hope that helps.

Q: 5. What size i need for a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens with 67mm lens cover ?

A: A medium hoodie should work.

Q: 6. How do the programmable buttons and focus ring operate with the sleeve in place. Is the tripod mount on the lens covered as well and will it still easily rotate?

A: This product is a series of material rings you apply. This allows you to manually focus as well as rotate the lens horizontal and vertical. And lastly, the buttons are open to use.

Q: 7. You hoods look great and seem thinners than other ones I have seen. what is the best hood for the following lens: 1. Tamron SP70-200 77mm w/ hood attached. 2. Sony 16-50 72MM SSM w/hood attached?

A: I dont use Tamron lenses. I use only Nikon pro lenses, and the hoods that come with them. I think the best hood for any lens is the one made by the manufacturer. Its not the thickness but the shape that matters. Hoods become a pain to keep matched with lenses when they're all in my bag together, so I mark the focal length on the hood somewhere. Just write it on a small piece of paper and stick it on the hood. Hoods are a bit bothersome to use, esp. on a long lens, but its important to always use them to prevent extra light from sneaking in and ruining the exposure. I know you didnt ask this, but the best lens by far Ive ever used is Nikon 24-70mm. Stunningly sharp. It is expensive. If you want professional results, use professional gear.

Q: 8. Is this too big for the Tokina 14-20mm f 2.0 82mm filter thread? What are the actual dimensions?

A: Dimensions:diameter at base = 4 outside, about 3 1/4 to 3/12 insidediameter at open end about 3 1/4 depth 2 1/4 I cannot tell you if it will fit your Tokina lens. But, I bought it to use on a Nikon 18-105 zoom lens. The medium sized Hoodie is too big and falls off fairly easy. I also tried the small size, but that fit so tightly it took too a long time and two hands to get it on and off the lens. So, I am not using either of the two Hoodies I bought.

Q: 9. what size hood is needed for the canon rf 100-500 lens?

A: The diameter of the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens is 3.7". So, the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (Small, Digital Camo), BH #LELCHSMDC, is the correct size.

Q: 10. What is the right size for Sony 200-600 lens? Will it fit when the lens hood is already donned with lens coat skin?

A: The LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (X-Large, Black) is the correct size for the Sony hood on the 200-600mm lens. And yes, it can be used over a LensCoat skin.

[Neoprene rubber] This does exactly what it says - a little extra protection from knocks, scratches which means peace of mind for a very expensive lens. The cover is not one piece, but several separate neoprene sleeves, these go on without too much difficulty, and you can leave some off - for example I didn't put one on the focus ring on my Nikon 200-400mm as I like a precise touch. The neoprene is not super thick but it is well make with solid stitching. It does take a few minutes of push and pull adjustments to get all the bands set right, but this is not too big a deal. It also leaves the camera controls pretty accessible, other reviewers have grumbled a bit about access to the settings, but they are behind an easy to see clear window, and I am more the 'set it and forget it' type for VR. If you consider the cost of a high end pro telephoto lens, I think this is well worth the cost.

[Neoprene rubber] Nicely made, easy to install, good protection and looks great. My only nit is that it is overpriced and needs access to the drop-in filter without having to remove the cover so that you can use the polarizing filter when you want to.

[0.25 lb] When I shoot wildlife photos, many times I'll sit in a camo blind. The lens of my camera is covered in camo also as to not alert the critters.

[0.25 lb] As advertised. Item arrived quickly and was a perfect fit for the lens. As others noted, this neoprene system does leave some areas exposed which could lead to water/dirt infiltration in harsh conditions. Overall, I am happy with the product (quality and fit) after initial fitting and limited use in the field.

[Neoprene rubber] I purchased the Lens Coat cover for my Fuji 100-400mm lens about a month ago and I really like it. The fit is perfect and clear plastic windows allows me to see the settings on the lens. I have used it out in the cold and the neoprene cover helps keep both the lens and my hands warm. I'm a wildlife photographer and the Realtree camouflage helps disguise the lens as well.

[0.25 lb] Purchased as a back up for a Nikon D500. I prefer to only use Nikon products vs after market. I have not had success with after market products and Nikon ahas never failed me.
