This Reflecta A5 LED Light Pad for Tracing and Drawingfrom Reflecta A5 LED Light Pad for Tracing and Drawingallows you to view your photo slides in detail without removing them from their sleeves, and assists in copying designs with the use of tracing paper. It is designed to be slim and compact, with a thickness of only 0.3" that allows you to carry it in bags or rest it on most surfaces without any problems.

A viewing area of 7.5 x 5.5" allows you to fit several 35mm slides at once. Rated for approximately 50,000 hours of use, the LED light is powered by an included AC adapter and can be dimmed with the use of a power button.

A: The reflecta LED Light Pad A4 is a uniformly lit pad. One does not view grids of light spots. The pad at full power is very bright, but it does offer a dimming feature to enable one to customize the brightness for the project at hand.

A: I haven't yet purchased this, but disposal warnings noting a mercury hazard strongly suggest a flourescent light source.

Q: 6. Does it have rechargeable batteries?

A: This item is not battery powered. It needs to be plugged in with the included AC Adapter to operate.

Q: 7. Would one be able to use this light pad to trace accurate sketches onto 140 lb and 300 lb weight watercolor paper?

A: The reflecta A3 LED Light Pad will work with tracing paper but 300lb seems very thick. So might not be transparent enough for tracing.

A: The Ledgo LG-E2686 Bi-Color LED Large Pad 2-Light Kit with Eggcrate Grid and Bag lux rating on this by Lego is in 0.5 meters and is 1526 lux . So at 1 meter it will be about half that.

Q: 9. Could someone comment on the build quality of the box? Is the frame made out of metal or plastic?

A: The build quality is good and is made of plastic.

[LED] Better than expected! Very clean uniform light across the pad you can dim. With this A3 size you can check at once two archival sleeves of 20 slides, very convenient. Highly recommended. 5

[Yes] I have the A3 size and love it. The dimming feature I don't use a lot, but it does come in handy at times. If you need a light pad, this is the one. High quality all the way. 5

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] This is a great product. It is solidly constructed with an aluminum frame, and is only about 3/4 inch thick. The light has 4 light settings and is evenly lit across the panel. The top is plexiglass (Lexan?) so doesn't scratch easily. I can get a whole sheet of 20 slides, or 24 individual slides on it. Perfect companion for my Vello NSD-35 slide digitizer kit. 5

[Yes] I really need a Lightbox to work on my artwork/cartoons. Once in a while I need to trace a photograph, or trace over an earlier drawing to make it look just right. The Porta-Trace is lightweight, has several different lighting options, and hs a long enough electric cord that you can maneuver the Lightbox easily. The 12 X 17 size is also amazing: More than large enough to accommodate most of my own artwork. I can't recommend this device enough. The price is right, the lighting is wonderful and the size is perfect. 5

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] This is a good and very useful light box for film photography (using it to evaluate black and white negatives) here in 2024. The large size of this panel lets me put two Print File pages side by side which is really nice. This is great for setting two full rolls of 120 film in plastic pages, or two pages of large format films. I like the brightness settings. Tapping the little graphic on the top of the panel goes from 25-50-75-100% brightness, and it is bright! Dense negatives are no issue for it. Comes with a standard wall power adapter too, not go-find-and-buy-a-separate-USB-power-supply which is also nice. I do wish the light was more neutral. It's a bit of a noticeable blue cast like all white LEDs. A case would have been nice as an option too for storage. For the size and price, this is quite good! 5

[Yes] This pad is better than I thought in regards to a nice bright light.� I like the dimming feature which allows you to dim the light if you don't need the full brightness.� Brightness is controlled by just touching the power button. 5

[1.77 lb] I've only had it a short time but it is just what I need to see & identify photographic slides after I have scanned a large batch and then need to name and date each scan. Nice bright, clean light. 5

[LED] Excellent lighting to review transparencies. Unlike the older light boxes, lighting is UNIFORM from edge to edge. Only drawback: there seems to be no availability of a carrying case for a pad this large (20 width). 5
