Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this fit the NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens as well?

A: Yes, the LensCoat Lens Cover For the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR Lens will fit on the Nikkor 70-200mm f2/8G IF-ED lens as well.

Q: 2. Would this also fit the Tamron 24-70mm 2.8?

A: I'm really not sure but I very much doubt it. Check the physical dimensions of both lenses on the manufactures web sites but even then they would need to be the exact same shape which is unlikely.

Q: 3. I have a Nikon 300mm 2.8..AF....will any of these fit a diameter this large?

A: The LensCoat TravelHood (Small, Realtree MAX-4), BH # LETHSMM4 would be suitable for a Nikon AF 300mm f/2.8 lens.

Q: 4. What size i need for Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR for a 72mm lens cover ?

A: The medium size is recommended for your lens. Please take a look at the following link: https://bhpho.to/2inKlgk

Q: 5. Will this fit the newest 70-200 VR model?

A: Unfortunately these covers are built specifically for each lens, so this will not work on the new 70-200 model.

Q: 6. What size would I need for a Sony 18-250 lens with a 62mm lens cover

A: If you are referring to the Sony 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DT Alpha A-Mount Wide-Telephoto Lens B&H # SO1825035, then the LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (Small, Black), B&H # LELCHSMBK, would work for your needs.

Q: 7. what is the range of diameters of lenses on which it will fit? This is a critical spec which is unfortunately not mentioned.

A: Because of the way TheLensCoat TravelHood Zoom is built, it will fit on zoom lenses from approx 67mm up to approx 150mm diameter. When using this hood on all lenses, and especially smaller zoom lenses, it can cause vignetting at the wider angles of the zoom.

Q: 8. What size hoodie do I need for the lens shade on tamron 150-600?

A: I use mine on a canon 100-400, about 3 1/4 in diameter and it works fine. Measure the diameter of your lens or see what the Specs say it is. Should fit fine.

Q: 9. What size fits for Sony 300mm f2.8 lens?

A: The LensCoat Hoodie Lens Hood Cover (X-Large, Black) is the correct size to cover the Sony FE 300mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens (Sony E), BH #SO30028GM.

Q: 10. will the lenscoat help with preventing lenses fogging up on cold nights? if not, what can you suggest

A: No, LensCoats do not seal the lens and prevent it from fogging up. Weather-sealed lenses will be the most protected from fog and moisture getting into lenses. But regardless of whether a lens has weather-sealing, taking proper precautions like slowly acclimating your equipment to the environment would do more to prevent sudden fogging than anything else. Take a while to move your bag from somewhere warm or wet, to somewhere cool or dry, so that the sudden shock does not develop fog or moisture inside the lens from the sudden change in temperature or humidity.

[0.15 lb] I was skeptical about using these....but it worked out great. Shooting in colder conditions and keeping everything from getting beat up. I have them for each lens now.

[0.15 lb] Tried having walking on the park for some bird shots... good i have this coz if not for this my camera would be scratch free no more, didn't notice the branch sticking infront of me and hit my camera, well, if you invest an expensive camera, why not protect it.

[0.15 lb] In the past, I've always used the plain black LensCoat Lens Covers, but with these Realtree Max4 covers (both this one and the one for the 500mm PF) give me the feeling that the wildlife I'm shooting pictures of can't see me. These work where ever I'll be shooting - from Colorado to Kenya.

[0.15 lb] -Easy to install -Good fit -Does a good job of protecting the lens -Improved the grip when handling the lens I just returned from a two week safari to Tanzania where my gear was in use and exposed to the elements the entire trip. The LensCoat did it's job and my 200-400 lens returned home in excellent condition. When I first saw the LensCoat I thought I'd made a mistake....it seemed expensive for what you get. While it still seems expensive, the product works and that's the bottom line. I highly recommend purchasing the hood to cover the front of the lens. Not only did it protect the lens from damage, it did a great job of keeping it clear of dust.

[0.15 lb] THe coat fits very well. The only glitch is its hard to the lens cap on !! I roll the hood back to accommodate the lens cap.

[0.15 lb] I bought this just to add some protection to my lens. The lens hood does not fit on reversed with the cover installed... This does not impact my typical use of the lens, but it does mean that I need to stick the hood in a pocket if I go to use any step-up rings.

[0.15 lb] Couldn't ask for a better lens. Very sharp images and focuses fast. If you like the option that a zoom lenses gives then this is the lens for you. It is just like the 70-200 2.8 lens but only at a shorter distance. Would recommend this lens for everyone, at every level of photography.
