The FreeWave Fusion Basic can wirelessly trigger hot shoe flashes, studio lights, or a camera from up to 328' away. It can also be used as a wireless "cable release" for wildlife or on a tripod for macro work.

This low frequency signal can pass through and around obstructions offering greater flexibility in placement of flash units and cameras.

Take advantage of sync speeds that match the synch speed rating of a camera up to 1/250 sec.

The wireless system's 16 channels allow transmitter/receiver settings to be changed to avoid interference from other wireless devices.

Multiple receivers to trigger many flashes may be used with a single transmitter. Multiple cameras may also be triggered with additional receivers and shutter release cables.

Confirm communication of trigger system with pre-focus, shutter release, and flash trigger in wireless mode.

Use the FreeWave Fusion Basic on a tripod with a camera's Bulb setting to make exposures as long as the camera will support without touching the camera.

Press halfway to focus, press fully to trigger the shutter.

Release the shutter from a safe distance for photos of hard to approach wildlife.

Use the transmitter as a wireless "cable release" to avoid accidental movement when shooting close-up.

Allows the cameras motor drive to be used for rapid sequences.

Most hot shoe flashes, studio strobes, and cameras are compatible with the FreeWave Fusion Basic 2.4 GHz.

Q: 10. Does this have a timer you can set manually?

A: I have been very happy with this wireless trigger! It does not have a timer, but will go to timer mode and you set the time on your camera. Hope this helps. I like to use it to manually trigger the shutter and set my camera near a favorite bird perch. This way I am not disturbing the bird and have more chances of getting them on a perch. You obviously need to pre-focus to do this.Bob

[0.45 lb] I use this for self-portraits as well as triggering my flash and strobes. It's very small and when mounted on my camera, it's presence hardly visible. It mounts quickly ans very easily on my camera and external flash. It is very quick to set-up and it's light weight and small size keeps it out of the way. It does not seem to add bulk to my camera or my external flash unit - it's just a nice and easy to access and use device. In many cases, I grab this low profile device instead of more sophisticated devices I normally use.

[16] I have only used it once, but it was for about three hours straight and didn't have any issues. I chose this one because it had a further distance range than the Nikon and I was happy with the range.

[2.4 GHz] I don't know what the battery life will be as I have only used this device a handful of occasions. But it does at it says it does. Pros: -Red/Green LEDs to show positive status shared by both transmit and receive ends(firing/focusing) -Will transmit behind walls and many meters away. -Dual use is great. I've used it to fire an external flash, and I've used it to fire the camera from afar. Cons: -None found after 6 hrs. total use.

[16] I take a lot of flash photography, before this trigger I used infrared, it was very difficult on exterior shots, as my remote flash not always received the flash from my internal flash, now everything is a lot easier
