Made from a soft neoprene, this set of three Realtree MAX-5 LensCoat LegCaps 518 Realtree MAX-5 Set of 3wrap around the upper part of your tripod's legs for protection as well as comfort when being handled. Using touch fasteners, the soft neoprene wraps are easily affixed to a tripod and create a thermal barrier to keep the tripod manageable, even in extremely hot or cold conditions. The wraps also provide protection from bumps and scratches. To ensure the best quality it is made in the USA.

This model is 18" long and is designed for tripods with leg diameters of 1.45-1.7", such as the Gitzo Series 4 and 5.

A: I don't know. I use it on a Bogen / Manfrotto Pro Monopod and it works fine. The fit is very secure.

[18.2 x 8.2 x 1"] I got these for an older massive/heavy aluminum Gitzo tripod to cut down on the slippage, and comfort when carrying the unit on my shoulder. I like the way they attach, and also their sleek look. It's as if they came on the tripod from Gitzo. Nice! 5

[18.2 x 8.2 x 1"] After purchasing the Robus RC-8880 TRIPOD from B&H I needed some leg covers as one of the legs on the RC-8880 is not protected with a rubber coating, (see my RC-8880 review on this B&H site) and wanted not only protection but more comfort when having it on my shoulder when hiking on a shoot. This is the perfect solution fitting these carbon fiber legs with just little extra depth but supplies lots of protection. Rubber type material on the back-side for non-slip guarantee and soft but durable material on the out-side. The sizes are a bit confusing on the B&H site-listing so I called in and asked for help. Per the B&H PRO support help-team it was the exact match I needed upon arrival. No surprise here, they, B&H are simply the best. I use lots of LenCoat products and like all of their line. [Touch Fastener] After years of pipe insulation and gaffers tape to protect my tripod legs (and my shoulders) these are a bit more compact and seem to work well. A little tricky to get on just right but once you do they stay in place well. Time will tell how durable they are. These were better priced than the shorter, smaller set of black ones I got for my small tripod. And ... no more gaffers tape gum on the shoulders of my clothes. 5
