The tan Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a waterproof 2.5mm connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics MM200, MM400, MM400a, MM400b, or MM400c wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Q: 3. Will this work with the Sony UTX transmitters?

A: The one you posted is wired for Sennheiser which is a different wiring. Q: 4. I assume this should also work with an E6 TA4F microphone. Does anyone know for sure? I didn't know if each of them required different voltages. Thanks!

A: The first answer provided (Aug 14, 2018) seems incorrect. The E6, B6, and H6 microphones are electrically similar (Ref: https://countryman.com/microphone-wiring/). I would fully expect this unit to work with any of the three (with the TA4F connector).

Q: 5. Which Countryman E6 is best for clean, crisp SPOKEN WORD applications, which frequency?

A: This version in the W5 band is best for talking and spoken word only applications, BH #COE6OW5C2SL. Please note the version selected is in the color Cocoa, and is wired for in a ta4f connection for Shure wireless systems.

Q: 6. Will the connector twist and lock securely to a Tascam DR-10L?

A: Yes, the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters is compatible for use with and will lock securely onto the 3.5mm input connection on the Tascam DR-10L Micro Portable Audio Recorder.

Q: 7. Will this work with a Sony PCM-M10 or Olympus LS-14? Thank you!

A: Hello. It doesn't appear that either recorder has an XLR jack, only 3.5mm (or 1/8 ). Technically you could use the TRAM mic, but it would require an XLR female to 3.5mm male adapter to convert the TRAM's XLR male plug to 3.5mm. Make sense?

Q: 8. Is there a typo on the price? I checked lmcs web site and other sites and I think someone accidentally put an extra zero in the price. Id prefer to buy it from B&H instead of other resellers.

A: Unfortunately the question you're asking cannot be answered with our Q+A feature. Please contact our Sales directly for assistance.Email: Sales@bhphotovideo.com

Q: 9. How sturdy are these? We are replacing some Apex headsets that appear to be quite delicate, two have failed so far; they have been used and stored very carefully...

A: Strong so far. Our new Senior Pastor has been using this brand for years and speaks very highly of it...hence buying new one for him. I would not recommend for kids being kids. Our guest speakers use same brand but older models (we have 3) and those have held up strong as well all these years. We have only had to replace the earclip once when it was sat on. Company stands behind their product!

Q: 10. Will this work with any xlr mic input that provides 48v phantom power? eg Motu M2 ?

A: No, this microphone will not connect to a common XLR input, and it does not operate on 48v Phantom. We do offer a similar microphone that does come with a 48v phantom adapter (it is not going to pass full 48v to the mic, rather it reduces to the nominal voltage). It actually has better frequency response than the UTm-86. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/898932-REG/senal_cl6_3_5n_p_cl6_omni_lavalier_mic.html
