Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Thread size

A: This boom arm has 5/8'' thread connections.

Q: 2. Will the Ultimate Support JS-DMS50 Table-Top Mic Stand work well with the Shure SM7B? The SM7B won't make the mic stand tip over, will it?

A: It won't tip over. The base is very solid!

Q: 3. Does this stand include a adapter to hold a standard microphone?

A: No, a microphone clip is not included with the purchase of the Ultimate Support JS-MC100 Tripod Mic Stand, B&H # ULJSMC100. Microphone clips are usually included with the purchase of the microphone, or are purchased separately as an optional accessory. If your microphone did not come with a clip, the On-Stage MY-250 Euro-Style Plastic Microphone Clip, B&H # ONMY250, would be a basic clip for most all handheld dynamic microphones, while the On-Stage MY200 Clothespin-Style Plastic Mic Clip, B&H # ONMY200, would be a spring-loaded microphone clip. If you are not using a dynamic microphone and do not see a clip option under the ""Accessories tab on our website, you can contact us by e-mailing askbh@bhphoto.com with the type or the brand/model of your microphone and we would be able to list a recommendation that would work with your microphone.

Q: 4. Are they New?

A: Yes, the Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Flight Stick is brand new, sealed in box.

Q: 5. Where can I get just the rotating adapter featured on this stand?

A: if you're talking about the adaptor that holds the mic, Atlas sells parts for most of their stands. B&H will probably have that in stock. you should go on the Atlas website and get the part #. i would think its fairly common.

Q: 6. I don't see any wheels for trim adjustment. How do you adjust trim for Aileron or Elevator?

A: Trim is usually adjusted in-game via keyboard commands. You can program/map those keystrokes to buttons on the joystick either in-game or via the provided software. I love this controller. It is very accurate and appears well built. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Q: 7. How wide is the unit at the bottom? In other words, how big a footprint does it have?

A: Unfortunately the spec's for the radius of the base have not been published for the Ultimate Support APEX AX-48.

Q: 8. Will this work on a Mac?

A: Yes it will

Q: 9. Can these mount on an Impact light stand (LS-6B)?

A: This microphone boom arm can be mounted on an Impact LS-6B, or any light stand using the On-Stage MM01 Ball-Joint Mic Adapter, BH #ONMM01.

Q: 10. What is this stand's max weight capacity with the boom arm?

A: The manufacturer has not specified a maximum weight capacity, but when I asked they did confirm that the stand is intended for use with lighter weight microphones and recommend keeping the load below 2 lbs.

[43 x 4 x 4"] I bought this product for use in my music studio. ...The downside about this product is that getting it stand sturdy is a little difficult, the stand has to drop completely to the ground or it'll lean to the side if it's not parallel. Great product for the price, would definitely buy again.

[Telescoping] Use it for recording, use it for stage use, either way this thing is great. No nonsense, everything you would expect from a stand. Durable and at a great price!

[26" / 66 cm] Works as advertised; it's a solid, durable stand with excellent reach with the boom arm. Collapses nicely for storage and transportation, but works great when set up.

[8.3 lb] I use this mic stand with the Yeti THX-Certified USB Condenser Microphone, and even though the mic is quite heavy, the mic stand is still stable and secure. It's also easy to adjust. Setting it up and taking it down are fairly simple as well. From my experience, for people from 5'1 to 5'10, it worked fine, and when we were playing instruments, it was easily adjustable to a lower height.

[7.6 lb / 3.4 kg] Needed a short stand for an interview project and was wondering if this was some rickety little podcast stand or something nicer. Something more serious. Pleasant surprise! The stand includes a couple of the small cable holder clips just like the ones that used to come on the expensive German stands. Nice touch. The washer that holds the extension arm at angle is very rubbery, so you have to loosen more to comfortably change the angle. It does not drift when you tighten it down even with larger microphones. Extending the column and the arm straight upwards can raise a microphone to over 115cm (45.5 inches,) which could be useful. The stand generally has a lot of useful reach. With the column all the way down and the arm retracted and facing up, the back of the arm doesn't hit the ground. Appears to be well thought out. The base, that the legs and column connect to, is not some plastic that we all know becomes brittle, and breaks irreparably from someone stepping on one of the legs. It is made of black painted cast aluminum. The casting is of surprisingly good quality. You can't see any flashings on any outside edges. So this is just a well made, full size, short tripod stand you would see in a large concert application for kick drum or instruments. Nothing special or unusual, but there is certainly nothing wrong with it. Well done!
