[5/8"-27 Male] Sturdy, screws seem like they may wear out over a long period of time if used/adjusted frequently. Otherwise works great esp for the price!

[5/8"-27 Male] I use it as a desktop mic stand. It has a good heavy base and the boom arm is sturdy enough. I leave the rotating joint loose so I can just swing the mic out of the way when not needed. So much better than the old vertical desktop mic stand I used to use, which was always in the way. Not that cheap but I am very happy with it.

[Tripod] Thick gauge steel, heavy, stays in place. Unsure about twist lock release for legs - great (new) design or hassle of a feature that's gonna break?? All good for now. If you're as frustrated by cheapo mic stands as I am this is for you.

[9 lb] This thing is a tank.  I was looking for a desk stand for my Rode NT1 microphone and was worried about the weight tipping it over.  With the extra counter balance and heavier stand, this stand holds it perfectly.  I can extend it all the way out.  Very sturdy and well made. I would highly recommend.

[Aluminum, Steel] Very lightweight compared to other mic stands I’ve used. But still quite stable. I take this on video shoots for interviews. Setup is easy and the stand is reliable.
