The black Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, TA5F Connector, Blackfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, TA5F Connector, Blackis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to an Audio-Technica ATW-U101 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with sennheiser EK 100 G3?

A: This particulr version features an XLR connection that requires phantom power. This is designed for connection to a mixer or recorder that features XLR inputs. Countryman does however offer this mic with a locking 3.5mm connector designed for Sennheiser transmitters. See B&H# COB3W5BSR

Q: 2. I have this mic with XLR connector, I would need to change it to 3.5mm Locking Connector in order to use it with my rode Wireless Transmitter. Is it possible? How?

A: This microphone need 48v and that only runs through XLR cables, the best thing to do in this case is to try to get the same microphone with a 3.5mm without a locking pin to work with the Rode Go systems.

Q: 3. Will this lav work with a Tascam DRL-10?

A: Yes it will. They have the same connector.

Q: 4. Will this microphone work with the Zoom H1? Thanks.

A: I hooked a sanken cos-11d that is wired for Sennheiser transmitters up to a small sony hand recorder that has similar connections to the Zoom H1. This worked fine, except that the audio was coming in on the left channel only. If that doesn't bug you then I think I can tentatively say it should work. But you might want to get the B3 with normal sensitivity as this one has headroom, read as a bit of a pad. i.e. if the subject whispers, you might not hear it on this mic unless you turn the gain way up.

Q: 5. Will these work with the audio technica ATW system 10 which also use Hirose 4 pin?

A: any lav microphone can get all sort of connector as dar you know the polarity. Now the one that I have bought os the Countryman B3 which ir have a 3.5 miniplug connector for Sony.Sennheiser polarity is diferent.

Q: 6. Does it work with Sony UTX-B40?

A: Yes, this microphone was designed to be compatible with the Sony wireless systems including the UTX-B40.

Q: 7. Does this work on a rode link system?

A: Yes. Currently, Rode is using the same exact wiring configuration on the Rodelink that Sennheiser uses in their evolution wireless (EWG3). For this reason, the Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Microphone (B&H# COB3W5BSR) will work with the latest Rodelink Systems.

Q: 8. Can this survive harsh water sports like whitewater kayaking?

A: Yes, the B3 was designed to be water-resistant and it can be used for water sports as well as for reporting during a hurricane, it should survive water water kayaking.

Q: 9. Any issues with using the Countryman B3 with the Zoom H1n?

A: This version of the Countryman B3 has a locking 3.5mm connector which is compatible for Sennheiser wireless transmitters and will not properly connect to the input on the Zoom H1n. B&H # COB3W4BZP / MFR # B3W4FF05BZP is the same Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic with standard sensitivity and a non-locking 3.5mm connector in black. It is listed as compatible for Azden wireless transmitters and will also work with the Zoom H1n. The mic does draw a lot of power so it will drain the H1n's battery quicker than other lavalier mics. As another option, you may want to consider the Countryman EMW Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone in black, which is B&H # COMEMWSFF05B / MFR # MEMWSFF05BD3. The EMW requires less power and is designed for use with digital recorders.

Q: 10. can you confirm that the carrying case is as shown, or is the newer hardshell zipper case? I prefer the older ones.

A: Yes that is the case that comes with the B3.
