The black Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Lectrosonics Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a waterproof 2.5mm connector for direct connection to a Lectrosonics MM200, MM400, MM400a, MM400b, or MM400c wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this version be used with the latest MKII version of the Tentacle Track E?

A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Sennheiser Connector requires at least 3V minimum plugin power. The Tentacle Sync TRACK E Pocket Audio Recorder provides 5V of mic plugin power, making it fully compatible.

Q: 2. Will this work with the Rode Wireless Pro?

A: The Rode Wireless Pro transmitter provides 3.3V of plug-in power and the Sanken COS-11D requires at least 3V to operate. The Rode Wireless Pro transmitter mic input is also compatible with 1/8'' TRS Sennheiser style connectors. In light of this, the Sanken COS-11D with 1/8'' TRS Sennheiser style connector will work with the Rode Wireless Pro system.

Q: 3. will this work with an Audio Technica ATW T101 body pack?

A: While the Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & Servo-Bias TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Transmitters is wired with a TA5F connection also found on microphones wired for Audio Technica, it is not recommended for use with transmitters other than Lectrosonics. The definitively compatible option would be BH #SAC11ANATT5W Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & TA5F Connector for Audio-Technica Transmitters.

Q: 4. No, Im sorry let me re-ask my question - I already have a UWP system and want to up grade to a Sony UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter. For one, the UTX series has a dual receiver meaning they can take in 2 frequencies, etc, UWPs need individual receivers for each transmitter, but the UTS series too, use TRS mic inputs, just like the UWP series, which can take the Sanken Cos-11 lavs. What would happen if I connected the TRS connector from the Cos-11D into a Sony UTX-B40 Wireless Bodypack Transmitter? Is the Cos11D exclusively for UWP series TRS connectors? (and Sennheisers?

A: This particular mic will work with the UTX-B40 transmitter. It will not work with Sennheiser.

Q: 5. A few reviews speak of the mic only working with G3/G4's when it is half plugged in. Is that due to buying the wrong 1/8 connector, ie for a differerent make of transmitter? Or is there a compatibility problem with the Cos11D and the Sennheiser EW range.

A: I see only one review posted for this mic where the customer noted a problem with connection to his Sennheiser transmitter. Without seeing both the mic and transmitter to evaluate, it is difficult to determine whether the issue may have been due to a defective mic or a problem with the transmitter. In general, the COS-11D is one of the most popular lavalier mics for various broadcast, film, and performance applications. This particular version of the COS-11D is wired for compatibility with Sennheiser transmitters such as the SK 100 G3 and G4 for the EW series wireless systems. Along with the manufacturer's warranty, B&H does have a 30-day policy for returns. So if you do decide to purchase and have any problem with the mic, let us know right away and we can set up an RMA to return the mic for exchange or refund. Just be sure to save all of the original manufacturer's packaging and don't register the warranty until you decide it's a keeper.

Q: 6. What is the warranty length? Cant seem to find that info

A: This product has a one year, limited manufacturer's warranty.

Q: 7. I bought this one. I have a question. If i connect sony transmitter this without phantom power, is it operating?

A: The COS-11D requires 3 to 10V of plug-in power, not phantom power. Phantom power is higher voltage of 12 to 48V. The Sony transmitter will supply the proper amount of plug-in power needed for the COS-11D.

Q: 8. Since they don’t make a generic 3.5mm connector, can I cut off the Sony locking collar, and make it work on DSLR mic input?

A: The Sanken COS-11D Omni Lavalier Microphone with Normal Sensitivity & 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sony Transmitters will only work with Sony wireless transmitters. The wiring scheme used by Sony differs from that used by most other companies, but the Sennheiser 3.5mm connector is considered universal for nearly all non-Sony devices.

Q: 9. Can this be used with cellphones? like, can I connect it to the Note 9 for example and use it and microphone for vlogging?

A: No it cannot be connected directly into a cellphone. The voltage requirement is greater than a cellphone can supply: Power Requirements: +3 to +10 V

Q: 10. Has anyone paired this with Diety Connect kit?

A: The COS-11D is compatible with the Diety Connect Kit and would sound amazing.
