Q: 1. How does this compare with other speakers volume wise? We have two JBL eons 15 that are used for a school's theater production in a standard high school gym. Is this speaker louder, or softer?

A: This is a 1000 Watt system. A pair of these with at least one Bose F1 Powered Subwoofer (B&H # BOF1SW) will blow away a pair of 15' JBL EON's and do it with better mid-range detail and far better angles of coverage. Without the sub, the lows are tight and clean but not full enough most musical applications. With two subs this may be an incomparable system, period. At any rate the arrays without the subs get very loud for a gymnasium set-up.

Q: 2. Has anyone used these with SRX828SP subs? Any reports? What’s the ideal sub to 906LA ratio?

Q: 4. How does these speakers amps stay cool for heavy DJ use such as a wedding reception?

A: No worries! Convection cooling is common for powered speakers in this class. It is also known as passive cooling. There are no fans.

I was at another music store in my area and they had this setup on the floor and the movable array at the bottom would not stay in place it would snap into the rear position on the bottom of both speakers Is there a fix for this I would hate to spend 4500 for a set and they don't lock after moving then around awhile?

A: We have not experienced this issue.

Q: 6. Hello Can I use two subs and two 812' for a large PA for outdoor concert?I would be mixing guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals

A: I got away with the 2 812s and one sub - outdoor concert for over 200 people - this PA screams. It's amazing - remember though that it is a true front line system which means that it doesn't like microphones in front of it, you really need to use smaller monitors for behind the line. I'm in love with this system and eventually will add the 2nd sub, even though I really don't need it :)

Q: 7. JBL SRX906LA Can it be used without a subwoofer? Preferred. If so, will the freauencies below the abolity of the 906 be merely

A: Yes, you do not need a subwoofer to operate the JBL SRX906LA Dual 6.5" Powered Line Array Loudspeaker. The lower frequencies are just not as loud as the mid and high frequencies.

Q: 8. Would you recommend using the JBL VMA1240 Commercial Series with 2 of these speakers? I need a mixer/amp for this situation.

A: The JBL VMA1240 Commercial Series 240W Bluetooth-Enabled Mixer/Amplifier can be used to power two of the JBL CBT 50LA-1 Line Array Column Loudspeakers.

Q: 9. i have a numark m6 usb mixer with two ndx500 cd units. can i hook two 812's and two f1 sub's to this system ? if so , how ?

A: I assume you are speaking of the powered models. Yes. Take an XLR out of the mixer to the input of the 812 and set for 'line level'. Position the 'EQ' switch to 'with sub'. Connect the outpout of the speaker to the sub input.

[IPX5] Used this product in a number of difficult acoustic situations. Very effective in highly reverberant spaces. Some bone head rocker sound people who don't get physics have no idea how these work so a scared of them 'because they don't have a horn'. Don't listen to those idiots - these speakers are great, and designed by one of the best speaker engineers that has ever lived! 5

[IPX5] Installed 8 of these speakers in a church of 500 w/ balcony. Absolutely phenomenal sound. The deep feature is fabulous. Great tonality and clarity, with warm lows. Plenty of overhead power. Very pleased with this purchase. Thanks B&H 5

[150 Watt] I hail from a largely unknown island nation (Republic of Kiribati) in the Central Pacific. I ordered 2 of this, together with 2 F1 subwoofers, in early 2016 from my supplier in Sydney, Australia. I already owned a pair of JBL PRX635s with two Cerwin-Vega P1800SX subwoofers which still run together as a system. This older system compared with the F1 Model is rivaled in loudness despite the smaller size of the Bose and is beaten in clarity flat out - no comparison really! This Bose product is simply fantastic! Its unique design, ease of transport and deployment (none like it in the country as yet, not bragging!) still amaze my friends and customers. Simply the best sound in town at the moment! Worth the price tag, highly recommended!!! 5

[4.1 in] I purchased the F1 combo and i am glad i did. Packs a big punch yet manageable to set up and tear down myself. Recently sold my SUV to upgrade soon and two F1 subs and two F1 812's fit perfectly in the back seat of my Honda Accord while i shop for new SUV. I am adding another set of the F1 Subwoofer for a total of four F1 Subwoofers... I like more bass with my music and to get the bass i like... i would have to run consistently at nearly 90%... I figure with two sets... i can run both at 50% - 75% easily and won't work them too hard. One set of 812's should cover highs and mids perfectly with four F1 subs. 5

[4.1 in] I just installed two of these, along with suitable wall treatments, in a gymnasium that was converted into a church auditorium. They perform great. The variable beam width and asymmetrical vertical pattern put the sound where I needed it and kept it off the walls and ceiling. Their size doesn't make them look like speaker arrays - they almost disappear into the room. I added the low frequency extensions to fill out the spectrum. They ARE NOT rock concert speakers. When properly installed in a space, they are a perfect solution to difficult sound control situations. I would install them again in the proper application! So called experts who diss them don't know what they are doing. 5

[23.36 lb] Today's DJ have to play everything and it better sound great with lots of bass. I Love the bose F1 subwoofer because they are lightweight and powerful. I don't need a crew and U-haul truck to move speakers. By itself the speakers sound flat so, A little tweak on the DBX DriveRack PA2 with the EQ and compression. After that Magic, Vibes and the dance floor. 5
