The Letus35 Helix Jr. Gimbal Stabilizer with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RCis a 3-axis motorized gimbal stabilizer designed for small and mid-size cameras, such as DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, and is suitable for all productions with up to 12 lb payloads. This model comes with left and right handgrips for handheld operation. The gimbal also comes with Helix Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules. The Bluetooth module allows you to wirelessly interact with the Helix Jr. from a Mac/Windows computer or Android app, helping you to customize settings. The Wi-Fi module allows you to utilize the Letus Helix iOS app, which you can download for free from the App Store. You can also change follow speed, eliminate residual vibrations, switch between joystick and RC controls, and change the function of the menu button. The RC module enables you to remotely control the Helix Jr. using a compatible Spektrum controller such as the DX7 (sold separately).

The Helix Jr. balances around the optical center of your camera, providing you with the ability to execute nodal point rolls. It also minimizes the movement of the image sensor, allowing you to capture stabilized shots. By adjusting a single axis forward or backward, you can easily-re-balance the gimbal after a lens swap. Thanks to the flat-bottom design, the Helix Jr. can be set up on the ground or on a flat surface between shots. The frame sits under the camera and the handgrips can be attached in line with the camera.

The Helix Jr. runs on three axes via a pan motor, tilt motor, and roll motor. When configured for handheld mode, it can be used in standard handheld or suitcase mode. Suitcase mode offers 180° rotation of the Helix Jr. and allows you to hold it with one handgrip. In such a situation, the camera can also be rotated to compensate for the 180° repositioning and the handgrip can be rotated to function as a typical top handle. The Suitcase mode also offers tilt functionality during one-handed operation and also supports hand-offs for second operators.

The Helix Jr. is powered by a 2600mAh JuiceBox Jr. lithium-ion battery and a charger. The onboard battery indicator will keep you informed of remaining battery life.

Q: 7. Can the Letus35 hold a Black Magic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k?With a lens and battery I'd be within the payload, but it looks like a lot of dslr/mirrorless shooters are using this. [8.0 to 18.0 VDC] This is an amazing Rig. Being that it's a little less used than the movi or ronin, you need to find custom solutions for cabling when using a follow focus system. It is very stable once you get up and running and Letus now have a website for the rig (letushelix.com). It's very easy to balance and the weight centered on the lens so switching lenses is easy and requires a minor adjustment to the bottom plate. Must haves, Monitor Solution (Small HD 502), Follow Focus (Red Rock Micro Remote Focus). If you get all of these solutions you will spend about $ at the end of the day, but hey, can you run with an 85 mm lens on a glidecam and keep it in focus?

[Dual Handgrip] Use this product when it came out several years ago, then update to others but recently I bought it again since it is very versatile, good handling, very light, the application to make timelapses is very good. Very practical and easy to use, for my work that is in forests and complex sites it is ideal.

[14.8 VDC] This is the best light stabilization system that can support Red cameras, Arri Mini Alexa, BM 4.6k, Sony Fs7 or Dslr cameras with cage, heavy lenses and external battery, that is, with all its accessories together. It's better than the Ronin M, Ronin 1, Movi M5 and I tell you this because those teams are very heavy that need external arms, easyrigs or steadys to not tire after a few minutes. Apparently the resistant magnesium of the Helix, lightens all the equipment and its engines are powerful. I would put it a little less at the level of the Ronin 2 and Movi10 because those teams are already another type of similar systems and equally heavy, but popular. The Helix is quite portable and easy to calibrate on a flat surface. Always use the Helix application on your iPhone that simplifies everything, because entering through usb to basecam, that is very technical and complicated. Everything is connected through Wifi and Bluetooth. Do not buy the version with RC because I personally would not use it. It is a remote control that is purchased separately to move the Helix and I suppose it would be used to put the Helix on a car or drive it from a distance and I do not do that. If you are going to use movie cameras, make sure you have 3 batteries, because the Helix feeds the cameras through specific cables that are on your website. And also the same battery powers the follow focus through D-Tap. It has been a good buy.

[11.1 lb] It’s been almost one year since I bought this product. I was skeptical first since there aren't many reviews of this product and it is one of the most expensive camera stabilizers in the market.
Like, I said it'd been almost a year now, and I had an opportunity to use Letus Helix on plenty of wedding events...and the more I use it, the more I am falling in love with this gimbal. It's very easy to setup; you can set this on the ground quickly change lenses and adjust very quickly. Doesn't take too much of time to bring it back to balance. The encoder motors work great. I love the briefcase mode.
I mostly use Canon C100 M2, but this gimbal easily handles my C300 M2 with Canon 16-35L III lens or with the 24-70L lens.
I had to practice a little bit to get stable footage, but I had never used gimbal in my life, the learning curve for me was minimal, a couple of hours of good practice is good enough to start getting good footage.
I looked into purchasing another gimbal in the markets, but I like the form factor of this gimbal - holding at eye level has its advantage. Customer support is excellent. Overall, I am glad I purchased this product, I am pleased with it, and I am highly recommending to anyone looking to buy Letus Helix with encoder motor. It is one of the best gimbals in the market now.

[8.0 to 18.0 VDC] UPDATE- I HAVE UPGRADED TO LETUS 35 REGULAR SINCE I BOUGHT CANON C100 M2
BUT THIS WAS EQUALLY AWESOME STABILIZER.

[No ] I haven't had an opportunity to use my new gimbal for a shoot yet, but I have used this exact gimbal before, and it is my favorite by far. It's lightweight, easy to use, and can handle some of my bigger lenses. I also love that you can move the handle to more easily capture shots that are lower to the ground...for example, following someone's shoes as they're walking. Although I haven't had an opportunity to use it at a shoot quite yet, I have unboxed my gimbal and balanced it specifically for my Sony a74 with the Sony 24-70mm, so I'm ready to rock and roll!

[No ] This gimbal was a great investment for my work. I make indie short films, dance films, and recently, wedding videography. I shoot on a Sony A7IV, and this gimbal was able to handle the camera body with a large zoom lens (25-104 f/4).
Balancing the gimbal is a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to fly through and get started with the stabilization. My only complaint is that Zhiyun doesn't have the most robust integration with Sony, unlike with other brands such as Canon or Nikon, yet it still functioned perfectly well for my needs.
For my level of work - below commercial videography - this gimbal is perfect for my needs. Heavy-duty, with plenty of specific tutorials online, (which Zhiyun encourages buyers to go seek out), and battery power enough to last me through an 8-hour shoot day. Highly recommend this gimbal for a pro-sumer videographer.

[No ] We have used 3 Helix units from Jr model to full size Magnesium models. Unlike ALL other gimbal systems, this one can be held easily at eye level and is lighter. It also does not need a stand like all other gimbal systems as well... You can just it down on a table or the ground and pick it right back up again. The design is GENIUS. As far as the previous review, I'm sorry they had trouble with it but there is a LOT of documentation on the website via manuals, FAQs and training videos! Software and firmware updates have made this gimbal rock solid and it has run PERFECTLY for us on every shoot.
