The beige Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sennheiser Wireless Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sennheiser Wireless Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a LEMO 1-pin connector for direct connection to a Sennheiser BF 1083 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Sony ECM-W1M system?

A: Yes it will work with any lav that has Sony compatible connector. Not all 3.5mm connectors are wired the same way. So be sure to look to see if the lav is wired for Sony.

Q: 2. If you bought two sets of this version of the XS kit, will the XLR receivers clear the XLR jacks and camera body of a Sony FS-7M2?

A: Due to the physical build of the Sony PXW-FS7M2 XDCAM body and the form factor of the Sennheiser XSW-D XLR MALE RX Plug-In Receiver, it does not appear that the receivers in the Sennheiser XSW-D LAVALIER SET Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System will successfully mount to the XLR inputs on the PXW-FS7M2 camera.

Q: 3. If this is used with a 32-bit recorder such as the tascam x8 or zoom f6, will the clipping be fixable in post?

A: It is very difficult to clip a 32-bit converter, but it is still possible to overload a mic capsule if you surpass the SPL it is designed for. A 32-bit recorder won't help with this, and if you somehow do clip the ADC on the way in it won't help with that either, but it does make clipping extremely unlikely due to the amount of headroom it gives you. If you are routinely running into problems with clipping during recording, or if there is no one on hand to adjust levels on the fly, a 32-bit recorder can be a game changer.

Q: 4. is this a stereo one?

A: No

Q: 5. Is this version compatible with my Sennheiser ew 100 g3 transmitter?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 6. What does "optimized" mean? Is that just a reference to the locking feature? Will I have any issues plugging directly into a Sony a6500?

A: It means that the wiring on the connector is for Sennheiser and Senal wireless transmitters, and It will not work with your camera. You may want to consider the Saramonic SR-XLM1 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1353400-REG/saramonic_sr_xlm1_broadcast_quality_lav_omni_microphone.html

Q: 7. Will it work with Polsen ULW-96-V2 wireless transmitter belt pack?

A: No it will not. The Polsen wireless system takes a TA3 connection. This is a 1/8 locking connector wired for Sennheiser and Senal systems. This is a list of lavalieres with a TA3 connector:a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?ci=3779&fct=fct_connector-type_745%7c3-pin-ta3f-mini-xlr%2bfct_microphone-type_2185%7clavalier&N=4263084562& target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?ci=3779&fct=fct_connector-type_745%7c3-pin-ta3f-mini-xlr%2bfct_microphone-type_2185%7clavalier&N=4263084562&/a

Q: 8. i take input my zoom h4n. and i find it's only left sound is recording. right sound is very low. how to solve it? can u talk to me.

A: This mic is not designed for use with your recorder. It is specifically designed to match the input impedance of a Sennheiser or Senal wireless bodypack transmitter.

Q: 9. Will any of these options work with RODE wireless systems?

A: You can use the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters (B&H # SEUTM8635H) with Rode wireless transmitters. The wiring for Sony is different, but the wiring used for Sennheiser is compatible for use with Rode transmitters.

Q: 10. Will it work with the rode link?

A: Yes it will.
