The small Chimera Video Pro Plus Small Softboxby Chimera Video Pro Plus Small Softboxis designed for use with a hot light but may be used with flash as well. With fabric intended for the heat of a continuous light, the Small Video Pro Plus 1 with silver interior is ideal for work in small spaces when medium softening of the light is desired.

The 24 x 32 inch size is very portable, lightweight, and can be taken on location easily. The "Plus 1" designation of this softbox means the front face of the softbox is removable. Chimera makes different strengths of diffusion material for front face applications. This softbox comes with 1 "Full" diffuser. Optional 1/2 and 1/4 grid cloths allow for more light transmission and also, less softening of the light.

Recessed front face helps control light spill and facilitates the attachment of an optional fabric grid.

A: It looks like it should fit with the appropriate speed ring to attach, shown below. However, I can not confirm 100% as we use ours with Arri 1000 and 650 Fresnel fixtures.

A: They make two speedings that will hold a comet flash but the\is one is by far the best due to the size of the softbox and the amount of tension on the poles.

[Yes, Removable] Short: Buy this softbox, it's worth the money. If you use continues light - this is the softbox for you. I run two of these with Arri 650s and they work like magic. You can use these with a flash as well, but if flash if your primary lighting - this is an overkill, as the primary advantage of this softbox is its ability to handle hot lights for extended periods of time. 5

[Silver] This items is great for concentrated areas that you are trying to light, like rim lighting for head shots or trying to focus light on a specific feature of a product shot. 5

[2.4 lb] Day after day I blast these babies with my lowel tota lights up to 800 watts. No sign of any wear yet. Although I did get one which needed to be returned due to a bad seam where the rod inserts. ....Incidentally, the photoflex speed ring for lowel tota needs modification to insert the power cord. Fine if you have a workshop - useless otherwise.But this strip soft box is just great for a hair light, headshot or whatever! 5

[Yes] We use Chimera's for our K5600 Joker HMI lights. When we purchase any new light we buy a Chimera... it's like bread and butter... they just go together. It does exactly what you'd expect by softening the harsh lights. We also use them on our Moles-Richardson & Zylights. The are a good reliable product. I recommend this product. 5

[Yes] I use these all the time with arri fresnel or wescott spider lights or mole LEDs. They are tough and produce great soft light. With the various grids (20 to 60) you can really shape the light were you want it to go. 5
