The cocoa Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Zaxcom Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Zaxcom Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a LEMO 3-pin connector for direct connection to a Zaxcom TRX-900AA, TRX-900LA, TRX-LAS, TRX-900LT, TRX-900LTS (single mic), TRX-900LTH, or TRX-900LTHS (single mic) wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have this mic with XLR connector, I would need to change it to 3.5mm Locking Connector in order to use it with my rode Wireless Transmitter. Is it possible? How?

A: This microphone need 48v and that only runs through XLR cables, the best thing to do in this case is to try to get the same microphone with a 3.5mm without a locking pin to work with the Rode Go systems.

Q: 2. Will this work on a RodeLink? It has the same connection, right?

A: The Countryman B3 Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic has a similar connection and does plug into the RodeLink, however it does move around and not lock in totally.

Q: 3. Will this MicroDot connector use with my DPA Microphones DAD6001 Microdot to 3-Pin XLR Adapter with Belt Clip ?

A: Yes, the Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Standard Sens, with Microdot Adapter for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitters can be used with the DPA Microphones DAD6001 Microdot to 3-Pin XLR Adapter with Belt Clip instead of using the included Microdot Adapter for Sennheiser.

Q: 4. Can I use the Countryman B3 connected to a sony uwp-d11?

A: Only if it was wired for Sony. Although the 3.5mm connector for the Sony looks like your standard jack that you see on Sennheiser systems, it is actually wired differently, and you cannot swap them for each other.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Olympus digital recorder that has a 3.5mm input? By this I also wonder does it have that screw type thing for the wireless transmitter or without one as I need one without the screw type piece so it fits nicely?

A: The Countryman B3 for TOA transmitters features a mono 1/8 jack with locking screw connector. There is currently no B3 available designed for use with a portable recorder.

Q: 6. Will this microphone work with the Zoom H1? Thanks.

A: I hooked a sanken cos-11d that is wired for Sennheiser transmitters up to a small sony hand recorder that has similar connections to the Zoom H1. This worked fine, except that the audio was coming in on the left channel only. If that doesn't bug you then I think I can tentatively say it should work. But you might want to get the B3 with normal sensitivity as this one has headroom, read as a bit of a pad. i.e. if the subject whispers, you might not hear it on this mic unless you turn the gain way up.

Q: 7. Will this lav work with a Tascam DRL-10?

A: Yes it will. They have the same connector.

Q: 8. Can this survive harsh water sports like whitewater kayaking?

A: Yes, the B3 was designed to be water-resistant and it can be used for water sports as well as for reporting during a hurricane, it should survive water water kayaking.

Q: 9. Can it be plugged in Tascam DR-40 without any additional adapters ?

A: No additional adapters are needed to plug this into a DR-40.

Q: 10. does this work with the zoom h1?

A: No it will not work with the Zoom H1 since this microphone has a XLR connection and the H1 does not. I use this mic with a ZOOM H5 and it works great.
