Kodak T-Max 100 Black and White Film 35mm 24 Exposuresis a medium-speed panchromatic black and white negative film characterized by an extremely fine grain structure along with high sharpness and resolving power. By utilizing a T-GRAIN emulsion, the grain pattern resembles a patterned, tabular form that maintains effective film speed while reducing the appearance of grain during enlarging or scanning. This film has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° and also features a wide exposure latitude, broad tonal range, and responds well to push development and zone system development changes.

In addition to processing as a negative in standard black and white chemistry, T-Max 100 is also suitable for reversal processing using the T-Max 100 Direct Positive Film Developing Outfit for creating copy and duplicate work.

This item is one 24-exposure roll of 35mm film.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the difference between Kodak TMax black and white film and Kodak TriX film? Thanks! :)

A: There are 3 differences between Tri-X and T-Max400. First, T-Max 400 has a very long, linear scale. Tri-X has a shoulder. This means Tri-X make it easy to get plenty of shadow and midtone detail with less worry about highlights going all white. On the other hand, T-Max 400 gives brilliant and subtle highlights that TX just can't. Secondly, T-Max 400 gives a little more shadow speed and greater 'pushability', Third, T-Max 400 has greater resolution than Tri-X. Both great films, and compliment each other.

Q: 2. Can I use the c-41 on this film?

A: No this is not a C41 film . You need to develop with black and white chemicals like D76.

Q: 3. Is this film DX-coded?

A: yes, it is dx coded.

Q: 4. I can't seem to find on the page how many exposures are in this roll?

A: The amount of exposures and rolls you can get from the TMY 35mm 100' Roll, would in part depend on how you load the cassettes. There really isnt a set standard for this. If you are looking for pre-loaded 35mm cassettes, then you would want to go with one of the following 24 or 36 exposure rolls. http://bhpho.to/1lQsN8g

Q: 5. How does this film hold when pushed to 1600,3200 and 6400 iso?

A: T-Max is well known to be able to be pushed to 1600. However, I don't know how it holds up after that. I've heard of HP-5 being pushed to 3200 but you would need to stand develop that roll or it would be way too contrast.

Q: 6. Does this product come with a film canister for each roll you buy?

A: yes it comes

Q: 7. Is this bulk roll expiring soon?

A: Unfortunately we do not have access to the expiration date, but B&H does not sell film that is within 6 months of expiring as new.

Q: 8. Is this film DX coded?

A: Yes, the Kodak Professional T-Max 100 Black and White Negative Film is DX-coded.

Q: 9. How many 36 frames rolls can this 100 feet roll can yield? Thanks.

A: You could get about twenty 36 exposure rolls of film from a 100' roll of bulk film.

Q: 10. Is this film 35mm T-Max ISO400 36 exposure film?

A: Yes, this is Kodak T-Max ISO 400, 36 count exposures in the roll.

[100] This is my first time using Kodak tmax 100 and I'm pretty impressed. I'ved used it on a Minolta Xd-11. Its sharp, fine grained, great tones, and delivers great looking black and white images. Great for use in sunny conditions. I've yet to try other black and white films such as Ilford or fuji, but I would definitely recommend Tmax 100.

[1] i bought this film to use for my photography class. i got the 100 speed film instead of the 400 because i live in texas and, well, let's face it... even when it's raining, it's sometimes sunny outside... and the 100 speed is best for very sunny days (which is alot of the time where i am here in texas).
