Da-Lite Motorized Scenic Roller Projection Screen 10'6" x 14'have a quiet, oiled-for-life motor as well as a thermal cutoff mechanism to prevent burnouts. The unique braking system prevents unwanted "coasting" when you want the screen to raise or lower to a specific position. This is a motorized version of Dalite's manual rope and pulley Scenic Roller.

A: Per page 5 of the manual, the housing for Da-Lite's Large Cosmopolitan Electrol extends about 4" out from the edges of the screen on either side. The Da-Lite 40823 Large Cosmopolitan Electrol 12 x 12' Motorized Screen (120V), B&H # DACE1212MW, would require an absolute minimum of 152" of horizontal space, but I would recommend having at least 160" of horizontal space.

[1:1] From an installers point of view, this screen really is nice. Install a top and bottom rail and the screen slides over the rails for an easy installation. The screen snaps to the rear of the frame for a very tidy and clean cut appearance. High quality frame, packaged well, easy to install... a good deal all the way around. 5

[Non-tensioned] great value, I looked all over for a large screen for a decent price and landed on this one. It had a little tag that said it self-retracts slowly and it doesn't but that was not a feature I was counting on anyway, it has a string to help it retract cautiously. would definitely recommend this one if you want a big screen on a budget! Takes 2+ people to mount, its pretty heavy when you're on a ladder! 5
