The Golden Age Project Comp-2A Vintage Compressorfrom Golden Age Project Comp-2A Vintage Compressoris a one-channel vintage style compressor/leveler that uses vacuum tubes in the signal and side-chain path. The input and output are transformer balanced using two different transformers, each one optimized. The Comp-2A compressor can be used in various environments by musicians and engineers, in recording, broadcast, or live stage and theater applications.

The circuit used in the COMP-2A is based on a classic design that was originally produced in the early 1960s, and it was initially intended for broadcast applications. It uses an electro-luminescent panel and a photoelectric cell to control gain. This gives it a unique, program-dependent compression characteristic. In addition, the all tube signal path and the transformers add a wonderful and musical character to the sound.

A: You would require a compatible step up/step down transformer to be able to use Golden Age Project EQ-81 MKIII outside of North America.

A: No. This is an add on speaker to the MegaVox 2 and has no bluetooth or or mic connectvity.

Q: 3. I see some models of SJCAM apparently record in 5 minute segments. True or not and if so, does the SJ400 also record in 5 minute segments?

A: On my SJ4000 Wi-Fi, the segments can be adjusted to Off or 3, 5 or 10 minutes. Think of them as the Chapters on a DVD when you're watching a movie on your DVD player. It's all one movie, but by skipping to a particular chapter you can get to the good part more quickly. Same thing with the camera. It's all one video but you can skip through 3, 5 or 10 minute segments to get to a particular point in the video.

A: Yes, it is possible to send audio from the headphone output on the Pioneer DJ DDJ-800 Controller into the FMR Audio RNC1773 Really Nice Compressor, then out to the AKG HP4E 4-Channel Headphone Amplifier for up to four users to listen through headphones.

A: The Golden Age Project EQ-73 3-Band Equalizer comes with a separate 24V AC power adapter. The power adapter that is included with the EQ-73 that B&H sells is intended for use in North America and is designed for 110V. The nominal operating level is -18 dBu. The EQ-73 cannot be used as a standalone EQ. It is made to be used together with the Golden Age Project PRE-73 Preamp which has has an insert jack. The control range for the EQ-73 is +/-15 dB for the low and mid frequency bands, and +/-18 dB for the high frequency band. The nominal operating level is -18 dBu.

A: The manufacturer has not specified the weight of the Golden Age Project EQ-73 MKII Equalizer but I would estimate that it is approximately 5 lbs.

A: it does have a built in mic for video recording, but only works without the waterproof case on

[Hardwired] This guy is my first foray into ribbons, and so far I've used it with a Cloudlifter CL-1 and an old Mbox2. It sounds great, especially for the price. It's smooth and warm on female vocals and much more flattering/forgiving than the CAD 179 I usually use. (FYI, when I recorded my acoustic jumbo guitar, it was pretty boomy on the lows, but I haven't tried it with other body styles. Another reviewer had good results recording acoustic, so my big assed EJ-200 might just be too much for it.) I'd recommend picking up another xlr cord while you're here if you don't have any extras at home. I had trouble fitting the cord that comes already plugged into this mic into my CL-1, but I easily swapped it out (the cord comes secured onto the mic, so it's just a tiny bit more difficult than simply unplugging the cord and plugging in another - you'll need a small screwdriver). 5

[Hardwired] I was so impressed by the Golden Age pre-73 and the pre-73 mark II that I felt compelled to try one of their microphones. This mic always comes up in forums and I have to say it delivers the goods. It is currently deployed as a center overhead on my drum kit and it is punchy and full sounding with a nice warm vintage flavor. At this price you should be buying two! Make sure you have a good boom stand because this mic is hefty! 5

[Hardwired] i use this mic on my d16xd sounds full crisp , good for acoustic guitars great on vocals looks big and cool, and i mean really cool looks very vintage you must GET IT for the price. it's a mic you have to have for anything it does not take a lot of money to buy good gear BUY IT!!!!!! 5
