[F1.4 - F16C] For my Nikon Z7, I wanted a basic prime lens, not that expensive, to play around with instead of using a zoom all the time. Just like old film days, when your feet were your zoom with a prime lens.

I looked at the Z 40mm f/2, and this TTartisan 50mm f/1.4. Though the Z lens is fully auto, and the TTartisan is fully manual, it didn't matter. Everything was manual years ago when I shot primes. But, what caught my attention, was comparing the wide open, Fmax, MTF charts on both lenses. This particular TTartisan was actually better, and improved a good deal stopped down.

The TTartisan is heavier, but all metal, solid build, and metal back mount. The 40mm Z lens is lighter, but also plastic, with plastic back mount. Both lenses will perform very well, and I didn't mind a little extra weight. The TTartisan cost less, performed well, 12 blade aperture, and nice bokeh.

TTartisan is manual aperture and focus, and Nikon lens is full AF. But all things considered, as I mentioned above, I bought this lens and very pleased with it. With the larger front element, suggest adding a lenshood.

[2.8 oz (80 g)] This lens performs brilliantly for the price! Works well for low-light photography. I'm very happy with the image quality even with the aperture wide open. Both attached images were shot with Nikon Z6 ii at f/1.4, ISO 800. The farther away was 1/160s and the close-up 1/50s.

[f/1.4] This lens was the exact replacement for our timing system camera that fell and broke six days before our first meet. The quality of this lens seem to be better than our old one video quality is excellent.

[0.2 lb] The Fujinon CF series lenses provide low distortion, accurate images on camera sensors up to 1 and are relatively inexpensive. The CF12.5HA-1 is physically large compared to the body size of most modern machine vision cameras, but the barrel distortion is noticeably less than most compact lenses can deliver. This lens works perfectly with both 1:1.2 sensors and 1 sensors. I've even used it on 5MP industrial cameras and it punches well above its weight given that it's only rated for use on 1.5MP sensors.

[12.5 to 50mm] This lens is hugh! Great lens and very sharp. I'm pairing this lens with an IDS 3060 USB 3.0 camera for recording golf swing video at 150fps 1/2000 shutter speed, as recommended by Trackman and V1 Pro.

[1/2.7"] Used on the Leica SL2-S. Let's get the bad stuff out of the way. There is coma in certain situation. It is on the heavier side. The good: gorgeous, sharp images with a magical look, no vignetting I could see even at 1.4 on the L-Mount version and the build quality and interface are great. As I've seen in other reviews, this would be more a 4.5 stars but for $220 it's almost criminal.

[f/1.4] I bought this to use on a Leica SL and was immediately impressed by its optical performance. The focusing ring and aperture ring are both smooth as silk, with just the right amount of resistance. For the price the lens is a screaming bargain. Waiting for them to make a 35mm version in the L mount. I'll get that too.

[12.5 to 50mm] Rather than go with full frame, I've been shooting with the more economical APS-C lenses and they've been working out great. Be sure to adapt your settings on the Canon, as it is full manual. I have become a huge fan of cine lenses because they are built beautifully, with smooth focus and aperture rings. Super sharp, handles focus pull cleanly with no perceivable focus breathing. Love these Meike lenses! I'm buying them one at a time, as budget permits. And thankfully, they are at a very reasonable price given their high quality and special purpose. Not feeling any urge to go back to photography lenses these days, and certainly questioning whether to return to OEM Canon lenses, since these are 1/10th the price.
