[1.1x] Purchased this to use with the Blackmagic 12K camera. It is relatively easy to install (be careful when removing the battery block), and the mounting bracket is sturdy and well made. The most critical point to remember is that the Recorder is entirely dependent on the SSD utilized. You can not just stick any SSD into the Recorder and expect it to record high-bandwidth 12K Blackmagic RAW files. Currently we are using the Samsung 983 DCT U.2 MZ-QLB1T9NE 1.92TB SSD - it has the speed necessary to keep up with 12K data. Overall the URSA Mini Recorder is a great accessory for the 12K camera, it is much better (and more economical) than having to shell out for C-Fast cards. 5

[1.445 lb] works great with the g2. its annoying to put on but once you do it feels secure and works perfectly. i wish they make the 12K recorder version work on the g2 because the sdi cables arent my favorite. 5

[5.1 x 5.05 x 4"] It's an EF mount for Ursa. I put it on my 12k so I could use my EF glass. Install takes about 5 minutes and is completely reversable. Having a small torque wrench is recommended in the Blackmagic Ursa manual. 5

[1.445 lb] The reason for the headline is this: Unless you have an SSD adapter for your Ursa mini (which i do) then this plate is pretty useless as the d-taps block the SDI ports. I bought the CCTECH SSD adapter and it works out perfectly for me. 5

[5.1 x 5.05 x 4"] The handle comes with screws and it is easy to mount on the camera. Now I can safely hold my camera in hand. The handle can also be bought as a part of the shoulder kit. But if you use the camera on a tripod, buying the handle separately is much cheaper. 5

[1.1x] Before this came out I settled on two 128GB CFast 2.0 cards which are great but not ideal for my work. Paying for a 512GB CFast was just a pill I couldn't swallow, yes it's a good option but for that money I wanted something I can use if I moved away from BMD for what ever reason. I made the most out of filming 1080p Prores 422 LT and filming 4K on the job simply wasn't an option. The footage still looked incredible but I know the camera can do better. Now I can film 4K RAW DNG on weddings! The flexibility to recover some highlights, play with white balance in post, and have a better color science than Prores 422 is just incredible. Now that the Pro G2 is out I might get that next year or the next model and move this accessory to that camera. 5
