A: It can write data direct from the computer.

Q: 2. After recording a live event to the original 25 cards, when those cards are complete and sold, may I add another 25 cards and duplicate the same event in perpetuity?

A: No. The Duplicator does not have any memory of the video input. You may gang multiple Duplicators and make more recordings of the live feed. Or you could use a Hyperdeck Recorder and capture the live feed for playback at a later time.

A: The EZ Dupe 23 Target USB Duplicator can format, erase, copy, and compare, but not in one function.

A: This would not be able to connect to a computer.

A: The dimensions of the EZ Dupe Media Mirror Plus 2-Copy Multi-Format Duplicator are 13 x 16 x 23" / 33 x 40.6 x 58.4 cm.

A: So far it has copied any DVD or CD. Yes even ones that were burnt on MAC.It is a stand alone unit.Great Buy

Q: 8. Is the duplicator able to lock the usb's once files have been loaded to them?

A: According to the manufacturer it cannot lock the USB drives.

Q: 9. How much use can this get (hours/discs) before having to replace drives?

A: There is not a specific number of uses which the drives are rated for, but as a rough estimate DVD drives that see heavy use tend to last about 4-6 years in general.
