Q: 1. What is the load rating of this stand?

A: Your answer is found in the specs section of this listing - 26.46 lb (12 kg)

Q: 2. What kind of wheels will work for this stand?

A: With the Sirui C-STAND-01 C-Stand with Boom Arm (Chrome), you may use the Kupo Runway Stand Base (https://bhpho.to/3EfyXKE) or the Kupo 340 Roller Stand Base (https://bhpho.to/3WLt5l8).

Q: 3. Does it have springs to prevent crushing fingers, when retracting sections?

A: No. The following unit is not air cushioned and offers no springs.

Q: 4. What's total length of stand after adding optional wheels? Want 2 buy wheels then bag but most bags r not longer than 65 inches.

A: Unfortunately, we do not have a case large enough for this stand.

Q: 5. How high can the boom go? I'm thinking of having the light suspended over a pool table at around 12' to 13' high and about 5' to 6' from the center column of the stand. Will this boom be able to do that? I'll be suspending an Einstein light with a 64" PLM umbrella attached to it.

A: Yes, this Boomstand will fulfill the application you are looking to do. The Stand Maximum Working Height is, 16.4' / 5 m, & the Arm Length is, 5 feet - 8.6 ft, (61 to 104.7" / 155 to 266 cm.)

Q: 6. What is the best way to include a counterweight sandbag or other weight when using the stand in boom mode? Are people putting a sand bag somehow on the opposite end of the boom arm? Or something else?

A: It comes with a very nicely made canvas bag that you can fill with sand and hang from the hook that's at the end of boom. This is a fantastic boom stand...well worth the money.

Q: 7. Is the load rating the same for the A4039CS in stand mode as it is in boom mode? I would like to know how much load can be suspended from the boom arm, with an appropriate counterweight, of course.

A: According to Avenger, this stand can hold a maximum of 6 lbs with the boom position at its full extension.

Q: 8. Does the empty sandbag come with sand? If so, what is the maximum weight the sandbag can hold?

A: No, the Avenger A4039CS 12.8' Steel Boom Stand 39 (Chrome-plated) does not come with a sandbag.

Q: 9. Is it possible to angle the boom straight up in the air, if you needed more height, but wanted the option of sometimes using the boom arm?

A: Yes, the LATCH LAKE micKing 2200 Boom Microphone Stand can be used with the boom arm positioned straight up to achieve more height.

Q: 10. how far does the boom extend?

A: The telescoping boom arm extends to 32".

[5/8"-27 Male] I looked at a lot of stands, K&M stood out for over all quality. If you want something that is going to hold up over time, K&M is the way to go.

[Chrome] I had a cheapie stand that would invariably droop about an inch or inch and a half after you tightened it. Then I got this one and it's rock solid. The mike will stay where you put it. If you want to keep it out of frame this is the stand to get.

[5/8"-27 Male] I really like the stand. It folds to be very compact. It has some weight to it so you don't worry putting a handheld on it stretched out that it might fall over. The boom arm is a single piece so I think that is the only functional downside. But it's $30 cheaper than the other option from K&M. I appreciate the discount for what I feel is a very small sacrifice. I did order 3 of them and 1 of them seems to have been cross threaded from the factory where the main shaft and boom arm screw together. It still feels very sturdy and the lock ring seems to grip well so I'm not bothering with an RMA.
