Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi. Can I use this for Nikon 7500?

A: Yes

Q: 2. Which cables are included for compatibility? Picture indicates F1 and F2 but I think C1 is needed to be used with X-H1, X-T3 and X-T4?

A: According to Hahnel this comes with the F1 and F2 cables.

Q: 3. Does this work all by itself? Why is extra transmitte req'd? YT videos don't mention extra transmitter. I'm confused.

A: The need for the extra transmitter on the Hanhel Captur Timer Kit is really for the receiver, if one wanted to use it as a flash trigger outside of using the timer function.

Q: 4. Can this system be used as a remote shutter without any cables connected for my Canon R5?

A: The hahnel Captur Timer Kit for Canon DSLR Cameras is a two part shutter release. The receiver needs to be connected to the camera via a wired connection. With the receiver connected, the transmitter can trigger it wirelessly at up to 328' away.

Q: 5. The picture shows a receiver and the timer which it looks like you can remotely trigger the camera. Why another trigger?

A: The one part is the transmitter, and the other is the receiver which mounts on the camera. There does not appear to be another trigger.

Q: 6. Will this work with the X-T3 and X-T4?

A: Yes, it works with both cameras.

Q: 7. compatibility list does not include any Olympus cameras! Is this remote control compatible with OM-D EM5 Mark 3 ?

A: Yes it is!

Q: 8. Hi there, I have your remote trigger kit for Nikon dslr. I imagine if I get the right cable I can also use it with my Sony rx100 ii as opposed to buying a whole new remote trigger? If I can, would you know if the cable I need is 2.5 or 3.5mm for connecting into the Hahnel unit? Kind thanks!

A: You can use this cable with your Sony RX100II https://bhpho.to/31yaiwo.

Q: 9. Is there a way to connect this to an Olympus OMD E-M1 Mark ii? The Mark ii has a different remote connection than the original E-M1, so my current remote will not work with it.

A: That camera is compatible with this product.

Q: 10. Hi, can I shoot video with my Nikon7200 from a distance?

A: The CamRanger Mini Wireless Transmitter B&H # CA1020 can start video recording with the Nikon 7200. With line of sight ideal conditions, its Wi-Fi range is 400'.

[0.8 lb] I recently got into light painting and it was hard to get the results I wanted at first. I would have to set the exposure time, hit the shutter button on the camera, run into place, turn on the light, paint, and then run back to try again after it finished taking the picture. I would repeat the process, which is very exhausting after multiple takes.

With this device, I can place the camera on BULB, stand where I need to, press the button on the remote and hold it until I'm finished painting. It works great! Just be sure to know how to unlock after you've held it down for more than 3 seconds. I supposed the lock function is what does that. I haven't explored the settings enough to know.

The device is actually kind of heavy for a remote of its size, but it's a comfortable weight. It's pretty well made as far as I can tell, but I've only used it a few times. Some people complained about the quality and a few other issues, but so far so good for me.

I will try self portraits next and will see if I can use a flash with the mounted device.

[Yes] I got one yesterday and used with the captur system. I tested IR and Sound and amazingly works as promised. Tested to take a shot of a water balloon bursting using IR sensor. The sensor worked perfectly at about 8-9 ft. distance. The unit appears well built and liked that it comes with a rubber cover for both parts. It also includes batteries. Hopefully it will last!

[0.8 lb] I was really surprised to find this device rated as 1 star only. The manual is given as schematic instructions. Handling instructions was pretty easy for me. The triggering can be programmed as loop with definite number of repeats. Enjoyed playing with sound/IR/light trigger. I do recommend this product.

[0.8 lb] on the positive side: Product is excellent, it the best, change cables and it works with other camera makes. on the negative side: The instructions are poorly written although the product is easy to use. It is somewhat difficult to find the the cables which are not included with the product.

[Yes] I used this product every way I can think of. Straight out of the box, it worked, and worked perfectly. The learning curve was a fraction of the Hahnel Gigi Pro II I have, but still use. After a shoot with two cameras, and desperately needing another trigger, I went searching for the perfect product for my 'style'. I have tried other brands, but am continually impressed with the build, quality, and results I get with Hahnel products. I would buy this again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, easy to use remote trigger. Note, to use this wireless, you need to purchase the Captur transmitter / transmitters for however many flashes you wish to use

[0.8 lb] The quality is really very good. It's feels sturdy and solid, unlike some other brands I purchased before that feels flimsy. I tested of a distance with concrete walls in between of about 20 meters and it fires away effortlessly. I love it.

[Yes] Used the Module Pro this last weekend for taking photos of bats in flight at night at a remote location. I was worried that with the IR beam being fairly narrow, I wouldn't get a lot of shots, but I got around 270 shots each night over just a couple of hours, so plenty to work with. I bought the Module Pro, one receiver and the cable to fit my camera. I used a different brand of transmitter/receiver set that I already had to sync two flashes. I will be buying the Captur transmitter/receiver set and an extra receiver to complete the set-up in the near future.
