The black Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, Hirose Connector, Blackfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, Hirose Connector, Blackis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a Hirose 6-pin connector for direct connection to a Samson CT2, BT3, UT4, or TX3 (Gray) wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Very low, mic near user's mouth.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does this work with the zoom h1?

A: No it will not work with the Zoom H1 since this microphone has a XLR connection and the H1 does not. I use this mic with a ZOOM H5 and it works great.

Q: 2. Which one do you prefer B3 or B6?

A: It truly depends on your application. A B6 is great when you need to hide it into clothing or a wig for theater and show productions. B3's great for most standard applications such as interviews, plant mics, etc.

Q: 3. Is this wired for a Lectrosonics UM100?

A: if it's for Lectro wirelesses then it had a TA5 connector which will plug into the transmitter.

Q: 4. I have this mic with XLR connector, I would need to change it to 3.5mm Locking Connector in order to use it with my rode Wireless Transmitter. Is it possible? How?

A: This microphone need 48v and that only runs through XLR cables, the best thing to do in this case is to try to get the same microphone with a 3.5mm without a locking pin to work with the Rode Go systems.

Q: 5. Will this work with a Olympus digital recorder that has a 3.5mm input? By this I also wonder does it have that screw type thing for the wireless transmitter or without one as I need one without the screw type piece so it fits nicely?

A: The Countryman B3 for TOA transmitters features a mono 1/8 jack with locking screw connector. There is currently no B3 available designed for use with a portable recorder.

Q: 7. will this work with sennheiser EK 100 G3?

A: This particulr version features an XLR connection that requires phantom power. This is designed for connection to a mixer or recorder that features XLR inputs. Countryman does however offer this mic with a locking 3.5mm connector designed for Sennheiser transmitters. See B&H# COB3W5BSR

Q: 8. Do i need a source of power for this mike?

A: yes, you'll need to power the mic via a device capable of supplying phantom power

Q: 9. To be used hidden on clothes for film, do i need Standard or low sensitivity?

A: Mic sensitivity is related to how much gain you have to give the mic. A low sensitive mic would need more gain sent to it to get a good audio level, and is used for live stage use, or in a loud environments. The real issue you have to deal with when hiding a mic on clothes is keeping the head of the mic away from fabric rubbing on it. I would suggest a standard gain mic, and then utilize mic mounting solutions, such as the Bubblebee Industries Invisible Lavalier Microphone Covers, BH #BUBBIILC30. or the Remote Audio Foamies Foam Mounts for Lavalier Microphones (Set of 12, White), BH #REUFOAMIEWH. These products will protect the mic, and when properly placed on the talent, can provide the best sound, minus the clothing rubbing.

Q: 10. is it good for Rode Wireless GO ?

A: No this lavalier microphone comes with a 3.5mm locking pin made for Sennheiser wireless systems, a lavalier to use with the Rode Wireless Go needs to have a 3.5mm without a locking pin for a good connection without any noises.
