[22 Tracks] I had the opportunity to operate multiple audio mixers. I recommend this mixer because it has the characteristics of a larger console with the ability to transport rack for small events. It has 6 aux sends (outputs 1 - 4 with xlr connectors), phantom power, phase inverter and HPF per channel, EQ like a large GB8 soundcraft mixers. Apart from the L-R has a mono output. Great Sound!

[20] My Ui24R replaces a Behringer XR18 - needed more channels for band's live performance and recording. Use with an external router. So far no significant problems. Great unit. Another B&H bundle with Rack bag for no additional cost; saved tax with the PayBoo card!!

[Yes] We had been using the Behringer XR18 for years for my church's mobile setup (we unload and pack up a van every Sunday) until some crucial pre-amps fizzled out, so we picked up the Ui24R. We've been using it for several weeks now, and we love it! It sounds incredible. Don't be alarmed if you don't have an iPad for the control app, because they have browser based control software as well (as far as I know, *any* device with an internet browser can control the unit).

The software is plenty intuitive and I can accomplish everything I need. I also learned about the multi-track recording features, which are robust. We only need to record the L/R master, so I just pop in a USB stick (which comes with this great bundle, thanks B&H) and push record - it's so simple and easy. This thing also pushes way more volume than the master out pre-amps from our old grandpa XR18. The 8 aux sends are also a huge upgrade for us, so we have plenty of monitor sends to work with, giving our band room to grow without sharing monitor mixes. Sometimes it's definitely worth spending a few hundred more for a great unit like this.

[Yes] This machine has quite a bit packed into it for the price, so if you do multi-track recording or live event stuff with complicated audio setups, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better bang for the buck. There is one annoying thing that WAS NOT mentioned in any of the manuals and that is that a lot of the individual control you have with things like EQ, effects, etc, are DISABLED if you put the sample rate into 96Khz instead of 48Khz. I spent an hour trying to figure that out since it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the official documentation.

I would also like to note that it would good for any user to distinguish controls for recording versus live output as the two are not necessarily one in the same.

[14.4 lb] This is their best one yet!!  Solid build, excellent sound and it’s learning curve is minimal. A lot of recorder for this amount of money. Everything is silky smooth with this machine. My favorite Tascam purchase ever. Hats off to them for this one.  Highly recommend, period.

[20] First of all, great service by B&H as this unit arrived in one day, and they had great pre-sale support when I had questions about recording times and other features. I am using this mixer/recorder with my live band, and I love this thing! It is super easy to work, and it sounds great (very warm sounding and “punchy”). The main reason that I got this unit was for the built-in MULTI-TRACK recorder. Lots of mixers have a two track recorder, but this is the only one that I know of that allows you to record each individual channel. You can quickly re-mix and re-balance the recording to create a great sounding live mix. I have to say that it is the first time in my 15-year career as a live performer that I have actually gotten a “board tape” that sounds good! Keep in mind that you can do this WITHOUT a computer!! If you want to use a computer (or if you want to take tracks off of Pro Tools or something) and then re-mix them through the board, you can do that, but I have been able to make great sounding live recordings without dragging my laptop to the gig (a very good thing in my opinion). I also really like the on-board one knob compressor (although it can sound a bit “squashed” if you push it too hard). The built-in effects sound great (would like more choices, but what they do have is very useable). All in all, I’m very happy with the sound quality and especially the ease of use.
