The white Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersfrom Countryman B6 Omni Lavalier Mic for Sony Wireless Transmittersis a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter with changeable protective caps, which provide moisture resistance and color options. The mic can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, churches, and general lavalier applications.

Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in hair or on costumes, or taped to a performer's face. The aramid cable and ultra-thin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to a Sony ZTX-B01 or ZTX-B02RC wireless bodypack transmitter.

Additionally, swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or match other microphones. The B6 microphone is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. These caps can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps, and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Low, head miking for theater.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can you recharge the batteries (Ni-MH) via the USB port? Like you can with other Sony wireless gear.

A: Hi, yes the USB-C port on the transmitter will charge re-chargeable batteries. Thank you for shopping at B&H!

Q: 2. Is there a belt clip for the silver cylinder?

A: Hi David M, Unfortunately no. Ralph

Q: 3. Will this work with a Shure bodypack?

A: This model is only compatible with Line 6 transmitters. For compatibility with Shure transmitters, you want to use B&H # COH7BSL instead.

Q: 4. Is there a compatible 3.5mm male to TA3 female cable for this?

A: No there is not.

Q: 5. How does this compare with the 44B at half the price if I'm willing to go with a larger mike. That is, if I don't need the smaller profile, would the 44B do as well?!

A: The main difference between the ECM 77B and 44B other than physical size, would be the frequency response. The 77B extends lower than the 44B, however generally for speech and broadcast applications those would be rolled off. If size is of no importance, the ECM 44B is a fine choice and very popular in broadcast applications.

Q: 6. Will the UTX-B40 work with the URX-P03 receiver. I need to replace a broken UTX-B03?

A: Yes, as long as both components operate on the same frequency band, they will work together. For example, this specific transmitter operates on the UC14: 470 to 542 MHz band, so the receiver would need to operate on the same band.

Q: 7. Can I use this mic with just an iPhone or iPad ?

A: The Sony ECM-77B Miniature Omnidirectional Lavalier Mic could be used with an iOS device such as iPhone or iPad if an interface such as the IK Multimedia iRig Pre HD Audio Interface with Mic Pre (BH #IKIRIGPREHD) was implemented in between: https://bhpho.to/3szb3Ve

Q: 8. How long is the cord that attaches to the mic?

A: The four included cables for the Samson LM8x Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone are each 3.9 feet long.

Q: 9. What is difference between 77 "B" vs "BPT" vs "BMP" vs "BC" versions? Want lav mic with XLR for Audient ID4 in podcast set up. (ECM-77B vs ECM-77BPT vs ECM-77BMP vs ECM-77BC).

A: The differences are in the type or termination, or connector. For the Audient you want the 77-B which has an XLR termination.

Q: 10. Will this work with Rode FilmMaker wireless transmitters?

A: Yes it will work. It is a 1/8 locking connector wired for Sennheiser systems. Sennheiser and Rode use the same pin configuration.
