Accurately monitor motion in a 40 x 40' area with the Optex VX Infinity VXI-RDAM PIR Microwave Motion Detectorfrom Optex. This motion detector uses dual PIR motion sensors and digital double layer detection to help reduce the number of false alarms by requiring an object to pass through the field of view of both sensor beams. Super Multidimensional Analysis logic helps to reduce false alarms caused by climate changes and tree movement. This motion detector is battery-powered for quick and simple installation.

[No alarm 10 V/m] Replaced Optex 40 X pri with Bosch Blue Line detectors. Bosch is quite a bit more sensitive and gives better coverage. These are great atributes for a good alarm system. Did not use the tamper portion of the detector. I have a 4 wire lead to the detector. Red to plus, black to neg. and the two other leads to the n/c terminals. Polarity is of no concern as you connect the n/c wires. 5

[2 ±1 sec] Easy to install. We do not have a door bell at the driveway door that everyone likes to use. The Optex lets us know when someone is starting up a rather long drive, now we know before they get to the door. Really like it. 5

[21.2 oz / 600 g] This detector replaced my five year old BX-80 device That developed cracked plastic lenses. This new device with four Active sensors vs two in the older offering, it is by far the best boundary sensor for exterior wall applications, in my opinion. This sensor’s sensitivity clearly meets it’s 40 LF specification and then some. Functions in rain, all temps To sunny 95 degree conditions and fog too! I could have purchased a new Lense cover, however decided to upgrade vs wasting monies on old technology. Buy this, you’ll not be disappointed! 5
