The Chimera XS Video Pro Plus Softbox 16x22"is designed for use with a hotlight but may be used with flash as well. With fabric intended for the heat of a continuous light, the Extra Small Video Pro Plus 1 with silver interior is ideal for work in small spaces when medium softening of the light is desired.

The 16x22 inch size is very portable, lightweight, and can be taken on location easily. The "Plus 1" designation of this softbox means the front face of the softbox is removable. Chimera makes different strengths of diffusion material for front face applications. This softbox comes with a one stop diffuser, (hence the "1" designation. Optional 1/2 and 1/4 grid cloths allow for more light transmission and also, less softening of the light.

A: You are correct; as the Pprofoto D1 has its own built-in reflector, it also would not be recommended for use with the Chimera Shallow Super Pro Plus Softbox, Silver - Large.

Q: 9. Does this fit Arri L7-C Fresnel?

A: It looks like it should fit with the appropriate speed ring to attach, shown below. However, I can not confirm 100% as we use ours with Arri 1000 and 650 Fresnel fixtures.

[Yes] I attach the product on one of my 300 watt Arri lights. I was impressed with the soft box bought after i purchased my Arri light kit, when it came with one Chimera Soft Box...when I realized how great it worked with my lighting, I bought a second one! Perfect for Full HD videotaping, It softens the hard light that comes with fresnel lights. It also gives me an opportunity to use strong lights, like my 300 watt, in closer interviewer situations. Also its very impressive to have matching soft box because it gives you professional looking production and you capture film-like closeups like a pro! 5

[1.6 lb] Our old Chimera softbox had seen better days. After it started smoking because a sagging portion came into direct contact with the bulb, well, we decided to buy a new one. The softbox arrived quickly and in perfect condition. We noticed that our lighting situation is much improved, primarily because our old softbox was dingy with a decade of use. It's like someone said, Let there be light! We are thrilled with the website, the delivery time, and the quality of the new softbox. 5

[Yes] This is the Rolls Royce of Softboxes. After a few weeks of talking myself into it I finally broke down and purchased one, as soon as I assembled it I knew it wasn't going back! It's super light weight yet I can tell from one review that I read before purchasing of a guy saying that he had his Chimera for decades that it was very much possible. The look that it gives is the one from the movies and if you put the right light in it and put it at the proper distance from your subject it's as beautiful as a book light. I will be getting 2 more. 5
